I don't think Javier is as popular with the current San An politicians as he was with the previous one's;)

I agree, things are getting a little out of hand with the new government agenda on the Island. As usual, old scores are been settled first and personal agendas are been put ahead of the Islands best interest.

There has to be a balance achieved between the locals rightly wanting a good environment to live in, and the buisness leaders wanting to make money and bring jobs to the Island.

From what I remember back in the early 90's, locals were very happy to put up with 3 months of noise and partying to all hours ,as long as the rest of the year was quiet.

we went for a burger king then to linekers thats why we were there,
its a shame they have to live like that to survive though

I thought that the PSOE-ExC now control the Consell Insular de Ibiza and therefore influenced any changes in policy to the local municipalities??

But as you say I only have a general interest in the Islands politics. and Ibiza politics are very complicated at best.

Something must have happened for previously untouched businesses now to be incurring fines and silly noise pollution laws ????


Maybe you are running for local office yourself Mc Rackin...wink wink:)

the "silly noise pollution laws", the closing times and a long etc that affect san antonio are decided here.....

..... so lets not mix things up. the 5 municipios still have the last word in most matters ! !

things havent changed that much. previously untouched businesses, like which ones? never heard about the noise pollution problems in the past of coastline cafe or kanya? or the problems of cafe del mar with the coastal authorities? even cafe mambo had fines in the past but not as big as this time.....

unbelievable. just watching the local news..... the san antonio ayuntamiento has sealed the big outside lasers of amnesia and privilege because theres been complains from some airplane pilots and neighbours, and also because they dont have any permit ! !

(as you probably know, those lasers can be seen from a looong distance)
 
I have organised events in the past with those big outside spots.

You have to inform the local Airport and get permission for their use.
