Rip

Sending love to all Fall fans. My girlfriend was one. (said a Fall gig was the only place she knew where the queue for the Gents was ten times longer than for the Ladies!) We had cyber insekt and cruiser's creek playing on repeat last night, whilst reading some very funny anecdotes on twitter from the hacks who interviewed him. it was hard to disagree with this: "he was worth a million Ed Sheerans". Someone else wrote "You didn't have to like them to love them" which probably sums it up.

Beyond gutted. I honestly don't think that I've felt so sad about someone passing that I didn't personally know before.

The Fall became my favourite band from 14 years+ and moulded my music tastes considerably. Pleased to have seen them so many times over the years (from outstandingly good gigs to unutterably awful ones). But that was what made The Fall so special.

I recall my profile biog on here being "Techno, electro, Man City, The Fall", for a while. Pretty much still that way, several years on!
