What a surprise when I arrived to my parents' house and found out that my mum cooked sofrit pagès for lunch. Especially for you, Tourist. Now I expect a piccie of your mum's estofado de ternera...

First quality products: the chicken, the "patató" (smaller rounded potatoes) and broad beans are grown by my parents; the lamb was a present by a farmer friend; the sobrassada and botifarró (thinner than the normal botifarra) was bought directly to another farmer. All this accompanied by home-made wine, home-made bread (baked this morning in a stone wood oven and still a bit warm!) and home-made hierbas. Today's flaó wasn't home-made though, dammit!!!
I wasn't aware we could post pornography on here...

Haha ok. Maybe next Sunday. I think you've already won this contest though!

I absolutely love going here, nothing quite beats it for me. I’m no gastronomic but the food and service is exactly on a level I’m at. The lovely lady owner is so nice, almost perfect in a mature kind of way.
es rebost de can prats, what can i say (actually, i might have done a similar post in the past)... it's open all year round (except january i think), it has AUTHENTIC written all over it and most importantly, it had the same nice food, staff, service and family vibe over the years since the first time i went... very important for me. it's really disappointing to go to restaurants i usued to love only to find out they've changed chef (sometimes in the the middle of the season, wtf!), the service went downhill, etc so i'm very careful recommending restaurants nowadays. you can't go wrong with es rebost de can prats if you want to try proper traditional ibiza dishes, some of them only cooked at the local's houses and not available in the menu of any other restaurant on the island. for that fact alone, there's not a more ibicenco restaurant than this one. period. oh, and next time someone tells you there's no good restaurants in san antonio (hello FallenangelGparsons) don't believe a word.

Today XP writes on DDI about the demise of Heart and other high-end restaurants that invaded the island in recent times and hardly anybody here cares about, no matter how many awards they got. 10 out of 10.

I'm not sure where to put this so I'll put it here.. Has anyone seen this opening or has it been discussed? Ibeefa Burger

I've always wondered why San Antonio's bar/restaurant scene doesn't have many 'trendy' bars. Obviously it's nice to see local places, but you'd expect many people with business in mind would open stuff like this in an area that's filled with 18-30s that will take an interest in it.

From what I can see from their posts it has taken over the West End Skinny Kitchen and Wayne Lineker has paid them a visit, so I assume he is still involved and they've just rebranded and changed direction? Leaving the other Skinny Kitchen on the marina?

Due to the tourist profile. Expect to see a lot more pop up as the gentrification of San An continues.

I think they're behind the Highlander on the west end, Skinny Kitchen is in the harbour area now. It's obviously owned by one of his friends etc and Hannah Wants did a set from there to open it, but it's a 'trendy' new place that i'd expect to have seen sooner. The menu is great to be fair :D

The point stands though, San Antonio/the west end is very dated considering it's full of 20-25 year olds that will absolute go for a place like that. Surprised plenty of people haven't gone for 'trendy ' places before.

Yeah, it's the old skinny kitchen, which was then something to do with an egg and now it's Ibeefa Burger.
I don't think Wayne has any direct involvement, only his friendship with Kai. Obviously, him showing up and putting it on his stories will pull in the same kinda crowds as skinny and OBeach etc etc.

I love a burger so I will be heading there when it opens in May. Will try and make it down before Dwayne and/or Nick 🤣
