Great dinner tonight @ Sa Carboneria in Santa Eulalia with a very famous Spotlighter
The matured beef meat here is always perfect, very friendly place, I love it

few places I can recommend having been over last week with the kids ;

Can Juame, Cala Vadella, great paella, lovely spot right on the beach, can see why it's got such a good reputation, cheers Stivi.
Yemanja, Cala Jondal, Sunday lunch, dropped in on the off chance and although it was fully booked, they found us a table, not cheap but top quality food and location.
Can Pa, Cala Vadella again, great tapas, place was buzzing with locals early evening, prob my fav meal of the week.
Can Vincent, Cala Carbo, nice spot for a decent lunch if you're spending the day on the beach.

Just been out for a long weekend with my wife before child number 2 arrives. Loved being on the Island in April and ate at some great places:

Restaurant Port Balansat - Port de Sant Miguel. Went on Saturday lunchtime and it was full of local families enjoying grilled fish and bullet de peix. We had seafood paella which was really good. I would rate it up there with El Carmen which is where I normally get my paella. €70 for 2 including a couple of drinks.

La Noria – Cala Boix. Lovely spot. We had salads to start and shared grilled squid for main which was plenty for lunch. Food was good but for me not amazing.

Bar Costa – Santa Getrudis. Jamon, Bocadillos, Manchego, Vino Tinto. Perfect. We went on Sunday night and it was rammed. Great value and perfect if you don’t fancy a full meal.

La Bodega - Ibiza town. Have been a few times in season going right back to when it started and wanted to check out off season. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Tapas menu is pretty generic but good quality. Good value. Really enjoyed the experienced.

All Ibiza – Figueretas. Went after seeing recommendations on this thread. Was not disappointed. The menu del dia is a total bargain and the staff were lovey. A definite must.

Cas Pages – Near St Eularia. I really wanted some steak and would have headed to Can Pilot but it is currently closed until 9th May. The owner of our accommodation recommended Cas Pages instead and I am glad he did. Grilled meat in a cosy room with logs burning (still cold in the evening so perfect). Massive t bone was €24. My wife had Lamb chops which where amazing. Not sophisticated but spot on if you want meat and chips! Also kick ass alioli. No booking and cash only.

Cala Bassa Beach Club. Grabbed some lunch on the last day. I had the burger which was poor. My wife had goats cheese salad which was good. The pina colada made up for the burger!

just seen one of my favourite meat spots is currently closed

can pilot - closed until 9th may, and they said they do a bit of refurb as well.

Rita's Cantina - 24.04.18

Kind of ashamed to say this, but having visited the island 20 times including lots of stops in San Antonio I hadn't eaten at Rita's Cantina before.
You can tell that a place is going to be good when it is filled with locals.
Portion sizes were ample. Your plate never felt oversized, but was far from meagre.
The food was really decent. Not the best food I have eaten on the island, but when you consider the cost, arguably this is the best value meal I've had here.
We ordered 1 x Mexican wrap, 1 x Quinoa salad and 2 x caña and the bill total was €16 - €17. Unbelievable value. And these were far from the cheapest items on the menu (you could order a baguette for around €4)
When you compare it against what its immediate neighbours are charging, it's frankly a fraction of the price.
The service was also faultless. Also a great spot to watch the world roll by. I'll definitely be going back soon.
