here's a little personal updated review on sa caleta. as you may remember, I hadn't been recommending that restaurant anymore after I'd had a below-par-paella there a few years ago (I still stand by that opinion, it just wasn't up there with how a restaurant quality paella should have been) - but as I said, it's been a few years since.

so last week, we went back, and this time we chose fish instead. and in all fairness, it was excellent. so while I don't have an update yet on their paellas, I can wholeheartedly recommend sa caleta for fish - and obviously for their famous café caleta.

what's important, you may remember the beach in front of restaurante sa caleta (called es bol nou) is closed this summer because of danger of rockfall. this results in the restaurant not being as busy as usual. so here's a good tip for you if you look for somewhere nice for a lovely lunch (or dinner of course), without the place being packed to the rafters and with very lovely service.

from what we were told by the owner, the cliffs will likely be secured next winter so hopefully for 2026 everything should be back to normal, but this summer the beach will remain closed.

Recommended. Great service and the food was good. Friendly restaurant dog at extra charge

my go to behind the sunset strip, the bar benitez, opposite the country market.
€27 beer, 2 riojas, octopus, bacalao, and tripe
edit - if you ever need a painter, plumber, electrician, or tax lawyer, just shout up, there are plenty in there too!
(the tax lawyer one was a joke btw)
