RESISTANCE IBIZA [Sasha & Digweed] @ Privilege 2017

I dont think the youth of today will see this as such a big residency and im not surprised they are only there for peak season given the size of the venue.

I said similar over on the Sasha & Digweed FB page. They appeal to the 40 - 50 age bracket, that demographic on the island outweighed by a younger age bracket who probably won't even know who they are and not particularly care that they are performing together again.

who will be attending resistance will be going there because he / she wants to be there.

youll be going for the event.

And not necessarily for the line up / particular music provided by who's playing?

I think he means the event aka the lineup as well?

And I do think young folks will be appealed because guys like Dubfire, Eats everything, Bodzin etc. will be joining them. I do think those names don't suit them but rather more old school guys like Hernan, Nick Warren, Zabiela etc. but Priv needs to fill their place so I get it. Just me personally I find the guests to be a mish mash of popular Ibiza guys that don't suit them.

To be fair the Sasha/Digweed I saw in Miami would perfectly fit with Dubfire, EE etc... not a bad thing but just saying

25/07 Popof (vista) Nicole Moudaber
as per gigatools
so opening with Sasha + Digweed plus Matador looking good!

I don't think the Sasha&Digweed fans are going to be to happy with these guests.. am I the only one thinking this..o_O

I think they've moved on musically really, and with such a big club to fill you need some of the bigger current names. I think those names compliment them well though ?

Jimmy van m and Kimball Colins would have gone down well I think. Are S&D popular with the young folk.

From the group of friends I have, its the older 35+ group who are really into Sasha and Digweed. Not a lot of my friends under 35 are really into them . Some are but most are into people like Moudaber, beyer, eats everything, HS82 etc.
The last time I saw sasha in Cardiff last summer, most of the crowd was 35+, so I do think they need some of the djs that appeal to a younger crowd to fill such a big venue. Just my thoughts anyway :)

That's what I was thinking. But will the younger people.have any interest going to privilege..

I think they will as Privilege has an appeal because of its size. People who haven't been have heard about it. I do think Coxy's short residence has put the Privilege name back out there which can only help.

The lineups are well balanced to appeal to all age groups and it'll be well promoted on the island. I don't think there's any danger of it not being busy.

I agree with the above, the marketing team behind resistance are no fools, I am sure they know what they're doing. I reckon it's a good mix of DJ's that appeal to both the older and younger crowds, covering all bases. I am intrigued to see how it'll do. Personally, I haven't made my mind up about it yet as I fly home the next day. I need to see how I feel on the night....
