It's funny, Communicate has always been my favorite mix compilation of all time...not even a contest. And normally our tastes are similar Craig...unless that was sarcasm. That compilation was really time & place specific...to me it was the sound of Twilo in the late 90s when S&D had a monthly residency...a vibe that has never been replicated, at least not in my experience. Was really fascinating to hear Sasha talk about that period in the RA:Exchange interview he did a couple years back. IIRC he said he felt that residency was the apex of his career.

Anyway hope to catch them back together again this summer...haven't been this excited about a new night in a while.
 
Nah man, the northern exposures before were all great, communicate was all over.

Anyways Sasha and Digweed are coming to Toronto for a festival! But it'll probably be only 2 hours, like at ultra. Do you guys think they'll play longer in Ibiza??

they'd bloody better! I'd assume as they're being given top billing they'd get at least 3 hours, if not 4. Guessing that there'll be a packed line-up, but hopefully it'll be using both rooms so people get longer sets

It was usually a solid 8-10 hours for them each night at Twilo. 2 hours on, 2 hours off, IIRC. So it damn well better be at least 4 hrs in Privi.

Is there any actual reason for why this is starting so late in the season and not being run from the mid June or start of July? Obviously I'm aware it's a big venue to fill but starting at the end of July just seems abit strange

I know that I just found it a bit odd that such a big residency has its opening party right at the end of June, why did they have to have the same day of the week as Cox and start late? Couldn't this have run along side Cox and started earlier and done a full season?

I'd say it's being cautious in season one. I would have done the same if I were the promoter tbh.
