No, Not really but do you know what the reasoning behind it not all being under the Resistance banner is? Seeing as that follows his 2 nights and I thought he was an ambassador for them? If it didn't matter you'd assume he'd juts play under that and not his own

well it's of course about bringing his pure carl cox formula into europe. that I understand. but I was more referring to clubber's point of view, as a punter, would it matter if he played privi as pure carl cox or within resistance?

No, not at all I'm only putting some things that have been going through my mind out there. Because I thought most of us have more interest than the average punter. Which is the whole point of a forum, no? I was just curious about this that's all, cor dear everyone has taken this way to seriously

The WHOLE Carl Cox thing has got completely out of hand. My best times at Space didn't involve him as a DJ and the time I went to the Revolution I had a better time on the Premier Etage and SST.
Space closing last year seemed to be all about him too.
Ive mixed feelings about this whole Privi night. On one hand its good that he is going ahead with it for his fans, but on the other its only two nights which narrows peoples options far too much.
He ought to have just played other promoters nights

(I've just woken up after a night shift so not in the best of moods)

I agree, would have loved to have seen him move around and play at others events on the island at various clubs throughout the summer. Is this still an option Stivi?

What did people want/expect?

Adam Bayer, Nic Fanciulli, pan pot.

But it's ok. I actually never heard of Dax J before but I checked his awakenings closing set and it's full on techno so now really looking forward seeing him. I do love nicole too so it's all good!

As to why he's doing his own night as someone else mentioned before is to sell tickets more easily. Plus it's a different promoter so he's probably getting more cash in!

Thing is I'm already going amnesia for elrow on Saturday so wanted to check out different club on Monday. But since there is nothing decent on Monday besides cocoon looks like I will have to anyway :)

Thought as a self confessed Coxy nutt I would put my 2 bob's worth in.

Carl Cox is not finished and won't be for a long time.

Coxy will probably play up to 5/6 gigs total this year. Probably at least these few at Privi ,guessing another night at Amnesia and then maybe a couple at Benimussa and maybe 1 at DC-10.

If he plays at Benimussa then I am guessing it will be to expand his Pure brand.

The confusing thing I have pointed out previously is why be somebody who is ambassador of a movement like resistance which is looking like opposite to what he is trying to achieve with pure.

I know Carl is adept to taking on different styles as he has shown with his acid house era, his funk and sole parties but surely he should be concentrating on this new pure movement.

Let's face it, quite a few Spotlighters are going to experience a club they've only heard about previously in predominantly Manumission related island folklore. It sounds like some clued up people are now spending a lot of money to make sure everyone has a fantastic night / nights in the rebooted Privilege. The sleeping giant awakes - heads down, hands up.

love the heads down, hands up quote. really.

it's my 10th year in ibiza now, but I still get excited at a few things. this small quote was one of them.
