Pure Carl Cox Ibiza 2017

I don't like being told by somebody that clearly stated the don't like Coxy where is the best place to see Him play.

Ridiculous commment

I don't think you meant it in an offensive way, but more tact should be used in a public forum. Could be some cultural differences. Perhaps that word doesn't carry the same weight in France as it does here and elsewhere.

Sometimes when artist are not good as they used to be, u have to admit it, i got many examples with rock stars i was very keen & now not afraid to say , they do shit!
People on the whole, are often blind as so addictive/fan for a Dj/rock star, so they always support, whatever shit mix they can do, i'm not, i'm going with my feelings & dont care about other may think, its not because its a pionner/God for u, that we can't criticize his music whitout being told as a newbie/ignorant?
of course you can criticise, but I get the feeling that if you got a wristband to the Steps reunion you'd put your wonderfully refined taste aside and go along

I agree. Seems to be a reoccurring theme on these forums (and life in general) - ppl seem more passionate about the things they don't like, than the things that they do.

i m just giving my comments, is it allowed in a forum? than beeing an hypocrite & say i love you all. all djs are great & so on...

not a hater, just bore by the all massive fuzz meanwhile other djs deserve some ad.
We ll have the feedback from july 17 parties...is it worth or not?

I have sat back for many months regarding a certain poster on here and kept quiet on many of the ridiculous posts that they have mad on other matters.

However no I am starting to get p,I ss ed off.

Surely you can't just call somebody the N word and expect to get away with it. calling people sheep and generally deliberalty trying to wind up fans of a certain dj.

Telling me where the best place to see a Dj you have no interest in.

I haven't called you out as a newbie or been rude to you in any of my posts.

This is a forum and your certainly entitled to your opinion but do don't go putting your unqualified and racist remarks against a respected Dj in the history of dance music.

There is so many Djs on here that I think suck, overhyped and many members of Spotlight clearly enjoy. However out of respect for our community I don't attack.

I like what I like and generally only post on Coxy or Trance matters on here. So I am going to defend him. You can think I am blind all you like.

My opinion is Carl Cox is still one of the greatest Djs technically and should be respected regardless whether you like or dislike his music.

i m just giving my comments, is it allowed in a forum?

Of course. But I think there comes a tipping point where we have threads and threads of ppl merely regurgitating posts that are anti the thread in question.

The Ibiza Rocks thread is a perfect example: members in their mid-30, 40s and 50s posting about how much they hate the IR programming. I mean, really, come on. What were we hoping for? It isn't aimed at our demographic. And some of the language being used will ultimately put off younger forum members who do like that music.

I mean, I recall my musical taste from when I was a teen/early 20s! It makes me shudder looking back. But at the time a bunch of old men ranting on a forum wouldn't have changed that. Though it might have put me off engaging on said forum.

too many people stuck to letter,1rst degree sense, simple as that ,calling me a racist?

how can you judge people without seeing them , just by posts?Chill out, its just a forum.

u can call me ignorant, i won't be offend, it's a forum i gave my feedbacks about my experience with cox parties ive attend in ibiz...the most important is not the blah blah but the experience there

I get the point about Dj not being as good as they used to be.

I can think of at least 6 of my favourite Djs growing up who have either moved away from the sound the brought or even just don't have it anymore.

But Coxy i am afraid has managed to stay on top albeit with a differing sound over the years.

Opinions are one thing and is what makes our forum so good.

However racist comments and calling people sheep certainly won't win you many friends.

Don't worry, i know that critics about djs wont get me friends as long ive got mates for my House parties i'm fine.
ps:can' u stop with Racist comment please, im yellow & if u can call someone racist but not me, maybe misunderstandings/jokes/2nd degree talk, i got some respect that not many have on the dancefloor & in life

I think Icey got banned for posting far less. Though his tone was far more aggressive.
It would be a shame for you to get banned for what I believe is a mere oversight on your behalf. The forum would not be such a colourful place without you ;)

When you use a negative attached to another negative such as fat and then N word then I am sorry I am not gonna apologise for calling your comments racist.

Being a Racist and making racist comments are separate matters. Behaviour doesn't always give way to that person sense of being.

However you can't deny that you have made an ill and badly advised racist joke, comment or whatever.

Tout à fait maitre capello (only french will understrand the joke :D) Google is ur best friend...

an unfortunate choice of words - intended more I think to sound 'street' than as a slur but it's in the hands of the management now.

that distraction aside, the main message i'm getting from this thread though is that thou must never slay sacred cows or comment on fanboy threads unless you have some spunk of your own to contribute

yes u sound more clever .
i ll quit posting/Teasing people (in this topic, wot do u expect? :D) & wait for Ibiza experience as its the most important thing, than killing time at office blahblahing about ibiza ...
Craig72, when we ll meet u may tell to all the Forum how" badass" i am

I can waitfor for the feedbacks for @Nobbie Q end july for these parties (transition to be back to the topic)

Not really, Are u talking about these people?

No hard feelings :D
Space was rammy , with cox , forget about it, i cant imagine how people struggle to have comfy space to dance...Sunset Terrace was the Answer  & Flight Area before Sunset

No.
I like the bloke and I respect his fanbase. But he had one night per week at Space which was very successful, so successful it was ridiculously overcrowded. Then it seems acceptable to do a whole TWO nights (albeit at the biggest club in the world) when he could have done even a reduced season. Less accessible.
Maybe I've missed the logic?

Good point.

How many more ppl who have never been to Music is Revolution or Space or even Ibiza will want to go see Cox at Privilege now off the back of 2016's media shit storm??
