paradise vs hyte

I only made it there once last year, and that was when both rooms were open so was quite a nice busy (much more room that say Circo Loco). Paradise is usually in the Main (Inside) room of DC10, so not sure how busy it is on a single room night. Also, not sure what their plans are in terms of 1 or 2 rooms open this year. They have A LOT of DJs on some nights this year.... so maybe 2 rooms or a lot of B2Bs?

they got like 8 acts so 8 acts in 1 room is little bit too much. i think.

I'm fairly sure paradise will do two rooms all summer long. last year it actually got pretty close to circoloco numbers in terms of attendance, so don't expect lots of space to dance. I haven't been to the opening last night, but some of my team have so I'll get feedback soon as to how it was.
dj harvey - as much as he's a legend, various people told me his set at hyte wasn't that great last week. and as for what music you get in the main room is very much depending on the line up - either it's techno or then tech house.

I just re-looked at their line-ups, and they are actually absolutely amazing aren't they! Its like the love child of Cocoon/MusicON/ENTER/Circo some weeks! I know we keep saying different crowd to HYTE, but this could change this season maybe...
I would add that, personally, I feel JJ is the prime of his career. Last 3 times I've seen him, he's blown me away. (I'll probably be going to fabric this weekend too!)
He's at Paradise every week, bar 1 I think (although there's a big headliner to compensate - Carola?) so that already gives them an edge over Hyte who are swapping between Dice & Maceo as their marquee act - and even go without either on one date.
But I would also add that the "support acts", for want of a better term, at Paradise are too much of a mismash. Lots of the usual mercenaries who have associations with lots of nights, and loyalty to few.

Agree, as I said some really collection of DJs from other nights on some dates. However, they have the names, and I think it will work for them this year!

Just hoping loco doesn't bring that rapper giggs on stage like he did at hideout...
Never went out a big night out on Wednesday in over 5 years (as in big club).. But as I went to hyte gonna go paradise in a couple weeks to compare
Just seen the videos of this, wtf. Very odd.
With this and snoop doggs set at tribal sessions, what on earth is going on?!?

Was in attendance and it was packkkkkkked, that being said, with the exception of Jamie Jones b2b Martinez Bros from 530 - 730 ( I skipped there start for end of Maya Janes set and Ame in side room) I would say there was still a bit of room to move around if you wiggled your way to a decent area and it was of course the opener so the buzz is just taking off. Was in attendance for an early Paradise party last year and it seems like this year will be stronger than ever.
Personally for me, I wouldnt worry about comparing crowds so much but to each their own, I think the Paradise lineups blow Hyte out of the water.

yup, everyone that went to paradise says it was VERY very busy. and those who went to hyte that night said it was the least busy out of all of them so far (a friend of mine jokingly said there were more people up in the vip than on the dancefloor). definitely not enough people to run two floors.
as the island is getting busier and busier I guess hyte might get busier too, but for now, paradise haven't been impacted negatively because of hyte at all. hyte on the other hand have very much felt that paradise is now up and running.
