early. midnight - 1am.
it won't be as bad as for the opening, but there will be queues.
While I know they are in-house productions, will be interesting if a full season two room Paradise will take some numbers off Circo Loco. Back to your theory Stivi.... Those on the Island for just a week... Do you they really want to go to say DC10 more than once in 3 days?
funnily enough we just spoke about that subject last night.
My personal view is that paradise and circoloco have become much more similar over the years. in their first season (2012), paradise was almost exclusively english and the crowd was a lot of shufflers. but due to the line ups they have now, more clued-up people are doing paradise and the crowd's also become more international. I think for overall attendance circoloco still has higher numbers (also because it's more hours), but various people that have been to both circoloco and paradise this week told me that at peak time, paradise was simply just as busy if not even slightly busier.
again this is my personal view, but I honestly don't see a huge difference between circoloco and paradise anymore nowadays, especially not musically.
I think most people do dc10 just once when they're here so they decide between circoloco and paradise, but then again there's always people that are religious dc10 fans and won't miss a night. plus don't forget that as circoloco and paradise have a slightly different schedule, you can actually do both and still do other parties. means, do circoloco early (7pm until 1 or 2am), then do cocoon. and on wed you could do tini and the gang early (now let's see what happens next week as it's been closed down this wed) or alternatively andrea oliva's party at beachouse and then paradise later.
Sorry pal. Meant when we fly on the 10th. We're doing hyte on the 16thYou mean 9th September? Not sure if the special guest for Hyte that night has been confirmed yet, unless you've got some hot off the press Intel?
Or indeed Nic and Joris at Ushuaia before Paradise when they're back in September and I'm on the island, looking forward to that as a double-header!
Stivi, got to say I'm very pleased to hear that Paradise has moved closer to Circoloco in crowd and music (although others may well disagree). I won't be able to go to Circoloco during my one trip to Ibiza this year and I've never been to Paradise partly because I've been of the view that DC10 and Circoloco are so intertwined, it just wouldn't feel right being there at another party. But if Paradise has a splash of that Monday magic then I'm all for it.
Sorry pal. Meant when we fly on the 10th. We're doing hyte on the 16th
I have the exact same situation Myself. Flying out on September 7th and attending Paradise in place of Circo Loco.
The lineups speak for themselves for Paradise this year, some absolutely blinding weeks. Jamie Jones in the form of his life. You really cannot go wrong.
Although I'm very curious as to who the special guest is on September 7th..![]()
Also does anyone else think Jamie Jones B2B Joseph Capriati is a strange pairing?
What do you guys think of HYTE vs Paradise on 29th July? Will have done Cocoon on the Monday so not sure if I wanna do Amnesia again on the Weds.
But I've listened to Jamie Jones' sets from Paradise closing 2012 and 2013 and was just not feeling it. Is this is still his style? Also does anyone else think Jamie Jones B2B Joseph Capriati is a strange pairing?
IMO Jamie Jones over the past 6 months has hit new heights, some of his recent sets have been truly amazing.
***Bump UP***
How's HYTE doing the last month? Nobody has commented on it in ages. Are both rooms working now its peak-time August?
How different is the atmosphere at DC10 between Circo loco and Paradise?
how long since your last dc10 visit then springal? dc10's obviously a lot changed compared to 9 years ago...
yeah I do think they'll continue with the 5am closing time until the end of the season (later for their closing party of course).
I still haven't been to paradise this summer (and am honestly not sure I'll go at all), but people tell me that it's still very british, but maybe a bit more international than when it started in 2012. it's extremely successful this summer, packed every week.
Absolutely! Last visit 2013 so not long ago. Will judge the line up and see I think. Can't beat CircoLoco but like I say Paradise line ups have been cracking this year & Jamie seems back on form.
