Nastydirtysexmusic on terrace for We Love Sundays

It would be a shame if that was the case because the great thing about the terrace was that it built up to a climax at midnight and then it was over, whereas other clubs, including the main room, just get progressively messier and the crowds just sort of trickle away towards the end. The planes will also be missed.
 
According to Steve Lawler on his board - the night time Terrace will be (at the moment) just for his night.

he expects We love to run over the usual finish time but not the entire night! - he hopes that the night terrace will be exclusive to Viva

I'm with you Jon, I think it's going to be fab the terrace open thru-out the night, throwing a few shapes as the sun comes up over the terrace :D

I don't think We Love are having the Terrace open all night, it seems to be only Lawler that is having that privilege (I guess it could all change though).
Either way, it'll definitely stretch past the normal 12:30am kinda time - and with a sound system as good as the main room, I think the Terrace is going to be better than ever.

I thought NDSM were playing the terrace after midnight, oh well we'll just have to see, whatever happens I think 2005 is shaping up nicely :D

We'll have to wait and see but I can't see Space not using the new terrace through the night for their flagship event. Think of the extra cash that would be raised by the extra people that could pass through if the terrace was open for the full session.

re: this late nite opening for the terrace

is it not the case that the new terrace roof is being built to comply with local regulations - not as a money-making exercise?
 
Lawler said only his new night will go on all night so I assume it's for legal reasons mainly, or just simply they want to turn the music up on the terrace, which has had it's off days recently with low levels.

Space looks to have a fantasitc season anyway, just wish lawlers new night opened sooner :cry:

yes it is because of local noise restrictions but now it's being done and the terrace could stay open all night i think it will, at least for We Love...
 
i am a bit worried about this terrace, i hope the layout is similar and i hope it finishes around midnight for 'We Love' - as others have said the build-up to midnight really made that night special.

i also liked the way you could see out to the blue sky from the dance floor or feel the breeze when dancing up on the raised area around the side.

...and the brushwood roof....made it feel outdoorish.

oh well, i'm sure it will be good, but I don't think it will be quite the same somehow...

Isn't it going to be a retractable (sp??) roof that comes off in daytime and only covers over when noise restrictions apply at night :?
 
I dreamt about the new roofed Space terrace last night!!! 8O 8O

Anyway, the idea of watching the sun comes up on the terrace while hearing our fav summer tunes can be awesome! :D

i seem to remember seeing an 'artists impression' that showed a retractable section in the centre of the roof, and glass around the sides, so maybe it will retain the outdoor vibe.

overall i spose they will be conscious of what they've built up on that terrace over the years and will try to retain as much of what made it great as they can.

can't wait for the first reports from the terrace! roll on the summer!
 
Not excited at all about Novy and Groove Armada on the terrace, but Nic Fanciulli is great news. He's excellent.
