Or, in my case, go to Drumsheds, overindulge, lose everyone, don't go to the prearranged meeting point, night ends, no phone, use watch to find mate's phone number, borrow a random's phone, call mates, find out they've been looking for me for 2 hours and are about to leave in a taxi from North London down to near Heathrow, panic as don't know the address that I'm staying at, bolt out of the club (in December in just a t-shirt), find them and a very angry taxi driver and spend the next hour in the taxi back feeling like I am going to die.Absolutely YES to this!!
"But how will you find your friends if you lose them?" the young ones will ask.
The answer to which is:
"Usually on of 3 ways:
1. by arranging meeting points at certain times (for the organised among us...)
2. by miraculous chance sometime later in the night and only after having met a ton of new friends (this happens more often than should be expected...)
3. the next morning at the hotel/pool/beach."
Oh, for goodness sake Joe, it’s always you…..Years ago 3 of us (Me Harry and Joe) got separated at DC10, fully bollocksed, when it was uncomfortably busy, felt like I was drowning in people. Managed to get outside and looked at my phone but had absolutely no chance of being able to use it. I then began "Excuse me, could you please go on my phone and ring Harry?" The people there were of great help but alas, no answer. Now what. So I sat down for 5 minutes until I heard my name being called out. Great relief, it was Harry and he had done the same. But we still had to find Joe. So we linked arms and piled in to find him slumped on the floor outside the toilets, so we decided to leave. We regularly laugh about it to this day. The moral of the story, if you get lost always go to the garden and find helpful strangers! Phones are often useless
edit - should also add that this all started cos Joe went for a piss and didn't come back

tried it 5 or 6 times over course of last week, zero results. It’s often pointless when so many tracks are unreleased promos, edits, bootlegs. Luckily, I often know the DJs and their tastes/charts and it doesn’t require massive sleuthing these days.
Not like in the distant past when there was no internet and there be some white label spinning and you’d be in vinyl junkies in Soho on the Monday pathetically trying to id your earworm, asking for the one that went
DOOF! DOOF! tish <hi hat> DOOF! DOOF! “your love takes me hiiiiiiigher” <warm pad> play more COWBELL!! repeat to fade
And JP or whoever was behind the counter immediately breaking into a grin and going “aha, I know the one” before trying to flog you some filler off Poker Flat for £15
You can still Shazam without taking snaps though. You never use Shazam to ID a track you like??
