Left On The Shelf

Chewie,

Maybe a house party is in order :?:
Always a good social occasion, only let people in who bring along a possible suitor (sp.) for your goodself ;)

hey guys!! look im 27 single....most my mates are coupled up......but do they get to go clubbing every weekend and go ibiza?? nope!!

i do!! 8)

There are a lot of people on this board who are in relationships and still do those things, myself included ;)

Me to :D

I think there are always times when it feels great to be single and have the freedom but there are also times when its nice to have someone and be in a relationship.

It depends on your lifestyle... personally i do some things with my wife and some things without (as witnessed by many last weekend ;) ) I like having that freedom and it works for us.
Other friends I have do everything together even work together but they are happy.

Going back to your point Chewie I think the hardest things in life is to meet your suitable match. Generally you meet people through work or friends or a hobby like sport. If you don't work in a large office type environment that cuts down your options straight away and if you only tend to socialise in a clubbing way(?) then again that can be difficult because I don't think its an atmosphere or state of mind to truely meet someone, ie I fell in love with about 3 people on Sat/Sun (or thought I did before landing back on planet reality  )

Not meaning to sound funny but you seemed a very decent guy to me and its personality that's most important, the issue is meeting people to chat to to put that strength accross.

Hope that all make sense :)

Did you get the third degree when you got back or was it all cool.....?

im a member of a gym... (when i go that is), i know what u mean about the clubbing environment, cant hear $hit, cant say $hit, i just make lots of handsignals like that bird in the corner of the telly when hollyoaks was on.

I'm slipping!!! I meant to ask that one too!

Surprisingly cool 8) I was on my best (trying to act normal just a little tired ;) ) behaviour though and the diary of the night, morning, afternoons events was only selectively recalled ;)

To have told her that I ended up in the house of 3 girls I had only met in a club would have brought her to all the wrong conclusions

how do people hook up? I met 2 gf's at work. 2 on AOL, and one that lasted a month , chatted me up as we worked in the same building. It would be damned hard to be in Ibiza w/ someone. The visual distractions there are insane! Meeting people at clubs seems to work for everyone but me. I've not hooked up in a club since the early 90's!

Me neither mate. I find work and work connections the best for meeting people.

I'm 32 and single, but although I hated it when it happened a couple of years ago I love it now. I get to go where I want, when I want, I have loads of friends, including my exes, I can get trolleyed in a club and not have to be keeping my eye out for who I'm with. Basically I love being single. Even the lack of regular sex doesn't bother me anymore.

Haha, she'd just been drinking all day the young 'lil lightweight

Bless her, she's lovely :D
