Last Christmas....

....I gave you my heart...

Been looking at posts from Xmas time last year, like this:

http://www.spotlight-forums.com/showthread.php?t=31848&page=3&highlight=Xmas

among others, to recall where my life was a year ago.

My life's changed immeasureably for the better. I'm no longer under hideous amounts of pressure, I work normal hours without constant phone calls and decisions to make at all hours of the day and night and I'm deeper in love than I've ever been. It's been a great year for me.

Suppose the low is deciding, a few weeks ago, that our beautiful dog Joey is best left in Ibiza for good, because he's so happy with his rural lifestyle it would be unfair to move him.

What about you?

(If it's been a crap year, hopefully this time next year, you can chart your rise from here;) )

Positives:

Got married am very happy and are now trying for kids (aint found any we like yet), in the same year have managed to renovate the bathroom to "grand designs" spec....which makes the rest of the house now look crap!!!

Negatives: how the f**k have I ran up £10k of debt?

Next year (hopefully).....bring the house into line with bathroom, kids, new job or bloody big payrise and get that debt down...and try to be nicer to people!!! :)

Hi there.

A VERY good, productive year for me too.

The business is doing better and better each year - BUT unfortunately "hideous amounts of pressure, constant phone calls and decisions to make at all hours of the day and night" - hence my lack of attendance

Got married - at long last!

Met loads of great people. Most of which have turned into really good friends :D

Plenty of holidays (much needed) 8)

What more can you ask for other than good health and a steadily (or radidly) growing bank balance!

All the best for 2007 folks!

:D

See above:lol:

I cannot believe what a year 2006 has been 8O :D

This time a year ago I was living in my own little happy pink fluffy world with Tom, my freelance work was going well, I loved our flat and life was all good :D

In the space of 2006:

Feb - May - Decided after a post-clubbing random conversation to move  and within a week we'd sold our flat and had an offer accepted on a gorgeous Victorian cottage (with garden :D ) - we had the smoothest move in the history of housemoves  and finally we have our own garden which meant...........

Aug - We get our 2 doggies - words cannot describe how much happiness Danny and Lottie have given us - it felt like mine and Tom's life was complete :D but then in............

Sept - Tom proposed to me while in Ibiza and we are getting married in June 2007 :D :D :D

Combined with that we both have had really good years at work (well Tom has had a really good year, I've just managed to fool more Marketing/Advertising bods that they need me to freelance for them  ) and with the exception of Tom's gran dieing  our families are both fit and healthy and we've had some fantastic times with some fantastic friends over the last 12 months :D

2006 has been better than my wildest dreams and I already can't wait for 2007 with our 2 weddings, Tom's 30th birthday in Ibiza and whatever else pops up as well :D

Highs:

Generally smashing it internationally, breaking pb's all over the place with Ibiza, Frankfurt, Germany, New York among the stamps in my virtual passport.

Decreasing visits to Egg.

2 (or maybe 3, I'm sure there has been more?!) Awesome weddings (I love weddings anyway, but these were super ace) of some very close friends.

Other than that, the further concreting of existing friendships has probably been the most rewarding tale of 06.

Meeting Robder

Lows:

Allowing Erin to tell me what tune was coming in once at Mancuso

An incedent with tinted moisturiser

Someone's cat playing up on me whilst I was supposed to be looking after him.

Being called a Bellsniffer by Super Polack.

You are a funny chap

Jamm. Which was good, though the music was somewhat of an anticlimax compared to the start of the night.

I think 2006 has been a roller coaster for me.

This year I resigned, yet stayed. Rob moved in with me. Went to some amazing concerts, festivals and holidays with some really great friends. Bought and sold a flat. Gained a cat. And have never been happier.

I have to say the main highs of the year, is meeting more and more great friendly people who have altered my perspective on life in general. I hope to carry on with and gain closer friendships in 2007 with stronger bonds and to meet more people......oh and beating Dan-X to name a tune before him. ;)

Aw, this is a really nice post. It's so nice to hear people saying how happy they are and how life is treating them well rather than (like the peeps at work) complaining how dull and awful their lives are 8)

This year has been wonderful. We celebrated our first wedding anniversary and not long after moved to our first proper home together with the most beautiful garden and lots of wildlife - Bill Oddie eat your heart out

After lots of hard work and daunting interviews Ben got the job he wanted and is very happy 8) and so am I now that he doesn't work ridiculously long hours  and I get to see him more. Oh and I finally managed to get on the mountain bike that I bought 18 months ago and stay on it :o

Ibiza was great this year as so many of us were there together and the Big Chill was so much better than I could have imagined - great company all the way ;)

May it all continue in 2007.

Merry Christmas & a happy New Year to all you guys ;)
