I went to the opening It was reasonably well attended but not packed by any stretch of the imagination. Sound system not great but also not helped by half empty club. Bar staff did not know what a vodka and Fanta lemon was (poor) very odd mixed crowd, just didn't live up to the PR hype sadly.
 
Owner has deleted his facebook. Apparently it was crowd funded to the figure of 100 grand so ud think that woulda stretched to at least a few weeks to let things pick up
 
yeah there are tons of stories about this flying around currently but I'm honestly not keen on delving into them.

Alter Ibiza is currently closed due to issues beyond it's control.

I popped down there last night as I wanted to do the retro night.... I got there at about 1am..... And sad to see it was closed... not sure about the others days... but it looked like the place had shut for a while

Apparently by some fb reports there was no advertising done really for it. Also in san an bay is a bit out of the way to rely on social media promotion alone u would think. Maybe it was a bit of arrogance on owners/promoters part to think this alone would be enough. Went to summum a couple years ago and had 1 drink because there was about 10 people in it excluding staff
 
Its a shame, I liked their supposed ethos. Didn't really get time to get off the ground. Something like that would take a while to get established, especially given its location. You'd have to be prepared to lose a fair whack of money initially.
 
It was always going to be as such. Perhaps not as quick. Im nowhere near as knowledgeable as a lot on here about the forces/trends of Ibiza clubland , but I never had it down as anything other than a failure, unfortunately.
A massive proportion of Ibiza 'clubbers' (use the term loosely) just want the obvious big names in their 3,4,5 night stays. ushuiaia , Cox , Ocean Club , Cream etc. They wont take a chance on a unknown club in San An bay.
