IS IT OVER???

Out of 4 trips to the island, this year was my best by a long shot...

Excellent, glad to hear it!

But I repeat:

At least write a letter or speak out in some way about what these people are doing...and then by all means enjoy the island! :D

Agreed mate, its really annoying me to...what can be done though? who is responsible?

Still: Space terrace, Sunday afternoon...best place on earth

Do you guys fight and debate as hard for your own country?!? ... it makes me laugh a bit how up in arms everyone is getting about a place the majority of people go to get some sun, throw a load of drugs down there necks and dance around to repetitive dance music!

End of the day, the hi-jinks going on at Bora Bora was always going to get curtailed! There is loads of other places on the island and this will all sort itself out. Things change man, get on with it!

but i do believe other places will appear cause of the downfall of others.

Erm...I don't understand what you're saying here.
:?

What i mean is if DC10 does close down it will make way for something else to appear, Bora bora closing will probably mean that everyone who went to bora bora will just find somewere else. places people have never heard of or thought of will become the new places to go and i expect they will be justb as good

Its the people that make the atmospher not bricks and mortor

Oh yes!
I heard about a new club just the other day...
Privilege I think it was called...or was it Amnesia!...Wait! Pacha!
Has anyone been to any of these places yet?

Past history has proved that bricks and water ARE necessary to hold parties on the island. The free party networks were quashed years ago which meant (in a similar fashion to the UK), the only way to comply with the system was to allow people to make a profit - then we're all happy.

It's not a concept I'm particularly fond of but it's there, like it or not.

NOTHING new is ever going to appear on the island...I don't understand what all this, 'till the next place opens' stuff is all about. If you hadn't noticed, upwards of five places have all been closed to force clubbers back into the big places where they can make a profit and control the amount of money you spend.

I never said these bigger places weren't enjoyable but I'll be interested for you to tell me what your vision of this 'new place' is like. Where will it be? What capacity will it hold? How will it sustain itself?
As things are, this cannot happen...and for the first time industry people are saying it.

A prime example - the only way NASTYDIRTY could survive was to set up a room in...(wow there must've been so many options for them)...Space!

After all, capitalising on this new name is a great way to make money in 2004.

In short, I still don't understand what you're trying to say.

sorry but this thread is

I'm trying to get cross with you for saying that but it's really difficult because of the little blokie!
Where did you find him? :D

I felt it too, honestly. Lack of people and atmosphere...
well I got my own kinda party anyway. dont care if DC 10 or likewise isnt there, my interest is in Privlege, amnesia and the smaller places where there is a more loungey feel to it....
Ibiza will go on being Ibiza, but I think the government definately wants to keep the party geezers out of there and reinstall some peeps with money and "class" instead of your average beerboy from west end, and actually - thats nice to a certain extend, mind you!

Absolutely...but what have designer clad discerning clubbers (of a DC-10 ilk) got to do with west end beer boys?
Have you seen the DVD? Spot the Diors! Class as far as the eye can see and little or no sunburnt beer boys.

Aren't these exactly the sorts of people they should be trying to attract? They look a damned sight better than anything you'd find on a beach in St Tropez that's for sure! 8)

I THINK THEY ARE TRYING to attack if one can say that, the pillpoppers in general and lets face it, ibiza has a LOT of those peeps - dior or not (besides anyone can buy a dior whatever and try and pose as being a mr/mrs richy classy one but it really doesnt have anything to do with what gear you have - more youre attitude in general)

To be fair those massive Dior sun glasses look ridiculous.

Ibiza clubbing has never been about splashing and flaunting the fact you have money. What a joke!

well depends on what side of the island you ´re staying on and what people you mingle with....personally i like expensive glasses but true thats not what the island is about

i like expensive glasses too if they are real the majority in ibiza at space and dc10 are not hence the looky looky men raking a fortune over the road from space.

and they do look ridculous cos they are originally intended for skiing. personally i can't stand snobbery of any description, i also think there is far to much sometimes in ibiza for no apparent reason.
