IS IT OVER???

Sad though it may be to admit but I am 31 and only discovered Ibiza this year 
Although a lot of my friends have been going on and off for the last 10 years I had never gone mainly because I had this image that clubbing had been something I had done in the '89 - '91 years and moved on.
I have to say my visit blew me away. I went sep 18th- 25th and went to 4 closing parties and 2 after parties at Space. For me by far and away the best night and subsequent day was the Manumission closing party for 3 reasons - The music (between the 3 rooms everyone could find something to their taste) The sheer size and scale of Privilage and The atmosphere - 10,000 people in one place all having a fantastic time. This I'm sure was all helped by my new friend 007
I stayed with 5 others in a fantastic villa up in the hills of Saint Carles, the nearby beaches where both beautiful and relitively quiet.
Sure there are areas like PDB and San Antonio which are geared up for a different sort of tourist and have hideous features like English bars and crappy beaches but like anywhere in this country or the world there will always be good places and less good places next to eachother.
I did find the security quite forceful and far from polite getting in to the clubs and I didn't like the attitude of some of the bar staff who expected a tip on top of already astronomical prices but I soon grew to accept that along with the rip off drink prices.
Personally I cannot think of anywhere else that I have traveled in the world that has the same magical feeling as Ibiza. It has the contrast of tranquility and beauty in the North with the overindulgance of the clubs in the south all of which is within easy driving distance.
Of course I have only been once and so I have no like for like comparision with what I found, all I do know is that the friends I went with who had been before in the late '90's also had a great time and said it reminded them again of why Ibiza is such a special place.
I will definately return next year hopefully this time for the opening and the closing parties
