buy presales are you are guaranteed quick entry.

to clarify what Craig 72 said... while the vast majority of US clubs have presales with easy entry. the few that do that sort of door selection usually aren't ones with djs you'd want to see anyway...
 
If you want to go to a proper party on the west coast, hook up with the 'far away' guys. They do amazing stuff in LA. I went to a rave last year in an old meat packing factory on the edge of downtown. With young marco playing.

Vegas can fk right off
