Ibiza Gossip 2026

Some interesting comments re the switch to Amnesia. I take a different view. I always had an eye on Glitterbox for their less cheesy bookings (eg Artwork, Moodymann, Harvey) but would be reluctant to go because it was at Hi (🤮), and also because Sundays tend to be for Pikes but putting it on a Friday at Amnesia, a true classic Ibiza venue with character and history is a game changer. I’m probably not the only one? Definitely one for the 30+ crowd (I’m 39)
This

Glitterbox is nice for what it is. But the venue was not my cup of tea. Now everything fits together. Hope there will be a good line-up at the begin of june.

The artwork looks very early 90s which suits the age range too, maybe John Lewis Ad man will be there 😀

very early to say this I know, and maybe I'll eat my words in a few months, but for now I love how it seems like amnesia is bouncing back with a vengeance for 2026
Well to be honest I think 2025 was their worst year ever. They have to bounce back, there is no other option...

Maybe one of the big PdB Clubs ist obsolet for the future?

Still room for them I think, but maybe they stay shut a night or two a week.

Hi also have the option of giving out cheap/free wristbands to people leaving Ushuaia to help fill it up.

AFAIK hï's main issue was that suddenly (but unsurprisingly) the VIP didn't work well anymore (except for black coffee). obviously the table crew needed to be in UNVRS. and that crowd you can't tease with wristbands.

Fair point, maybe the island needs to attract more VIPs? Actually no, please no, no again 😀

Sad, that the clubs need the VIPs for their economic existence. As I read before : As a tourist you see a rammed club. First impression : This thing ist running well. But, you can not see what the economic reality is. Big DJ fees? Big production costs?
Similar to professional football clubs : The money from the spectators is a small part of the budget. Ok, not small, but only one .

We can’t go over this again. Is what it is.

Back to gossip and news…

So Glitterbox, Martines and probably Black Coffee leaving Hi…. That’s a hard job to fill these nights…
Hi is a club in decline. This is what happens when you have these Vegas-style clubs with no substance. There is no allegiance and when the shiny new club comes along, the old club falls out of favor fast. Pacha, Amnesia, DC10 all are unique and offer the Ibiza experience. Hi does not and is now in the shadow of UNVRS. What DJ wants to play at the little, less cool brother club full of people who aren’t true clubbers? I guess we’ll find out.

I’ve said this for 20 years, but I agree. Yes, Pacha main room has changed, but everything around it from the funky room, to the terrace, the garden is Ibiza!

Lots of chatter about some form of alliance between Pacha and Amnesia, and it’s probably nothing. But Amnesia with a bit more investment, but keeping it totally authentic would be epic.

Re. Hï. Never underestimate what TNL could pull out the bag.

As the post above says never underestimate what the TNL team will do, and decline is a bit harsh for a venue not 10 years old ? There will be no shortage of Djs ready to step into any vacant nights.

Pacha and Amnesia joining forces makes too much sense. FIVE was looking to invest more in Ibiza, why not invest in the club that has the best dance floor on the island? I agree that Pacha has done a good job at refurbing without losing the Ibiza feel, and think the same can be done to Amnesia.
