ibiza gossip 2025

What is the peak time party in Ushuaia? ~20-23.00? This is quite a heavy price for a proper party of three hours:)

Id say you cant compare Ushuaia to an indoor club, its drinks in the sun around a 'pool' before a 2 hour ish 'Pop' concert from most of them and 100euros/£85 is about the going rate to see a Pop or Rock act on tour back home in he UK.

At one time, the DC10 terrace used to open at 4:00 PM, the sound system was very powerful, the atmosphere was libertarian, and you could leave and come back during the night with your ticket.

There’s this old bird in my Spanish class, think she’s 80 next year. She use to visit Ibiza in the 60s and met her husband there and used to work there. They hated what happened to Ibiza in the 90s. A lot of people in here believe the 90s and 00s in Ibiza were the pinnacle, these people hate what’s happening now….. times change a, roll with them or move on but cheer up 😂. And as for the phone culture in parties, all of us 40 plus would be doing exactly the same if we were a part of this generation, as much as I wish it didn’t exist, it does! Again, cheer up. Dunno why I’m ranting really, just gets boring reading people moan about the past all the time, move on and find something new that will make you happy 👍 big ol’ world and all that

This and the cycle repeats

Pretty applicable to just about anywhere in the world, if we're being honest.

Always "used to be better"

People mourn their lost youth. I certainly do

That's not to say there aren't legitimate concerns. Though I have far greater sympathy for the local population than tourists who spend a couple of weeks here a year.

There will always be other destinations. I encourage people to travel as far and wide as their circumstances allow, so long as they do so respectfully

Completely agree on the local population point mate. Their opinion on change matters more than any of our minor Ibiza clubbing gripes/experiences.

Once upon a time you had Loco Dice’s residency which to this day was one of my best experiences there.
Loco Dice is the most underrated. Guy is incredible.

He could be musicon. He should be musicon.

I was lucky to catch him play B2B with Carola last year and he over shadowed Carola. Could always tell when Loco Dice was selecting the tracks he sent the room to the moon.

I watched a podcast on YouTube not long back and the question was asked about the youth of today. The reply was “18-25 year olds are doing just fine, they certainly aren’t looking at 35+ year olds thinking I wish I was going out back in their day”. I think that’s true for every generation, we all like to think we had it the best, but did we really? The generation before us would claim the same thing.

In recent years I have found myself spending a week on the island and going out max twice.

The calendar has become copy and paste.

Nothing excites me anymore and I'd go as far to say I am doing UNVRS opening for Eric Prydz and doing that solely based on the fact its a new club I've got to see it!

Ibiza is 100% on the decline if you want to party. Noise and locals along with the Ushuaia mafia have killed it. That and the statues holding mobile phones on the dance floor.

I'm lucky to have witness Ibiza before it's real obvious demise around 2018/9

Except Dc10 Is on an airport runway virtually ..yet noise is a problem for Locals Really ?…Bossa is dead in winter..so you can’t tell me tourists in summer are there for quiet nights ? It’s mad …sound doesn’t affect locals whatsoever ..accomodation does and that needs sorting .

I really look forward also Prydtz @UNVRS. The only doubt IS that I'd like to see and feel my dancing feet also at the Carl Cox previous night:) I can not do two party nights in a row anymore as a 45y senior clubber XD

I remember seeing this video years ago after seeing him a good few times. His enthusiasm is infectious.

I’ll be doing the same 😂 But I’m also going with the expectation that the Prydz night will be a show more than a regular “club night”, and something I’ve not seen before so will be good for something different

This is it really.
Tbf, if u can’t moan about Ibiza on an Ibiza forum then where can u 😂 sorry about me, carry on. Il take all the negativity with a pinch of salt. Any news on tINI yet? Not gonna happen is it

it *ahem* didn't end too happily the last time I posted on this thread... I reacted badly to a comment which I felt was directed at people like me, probably an overreaction, but the damage was done, the indignity getting called insufferable by the village idiots. I guess, the internetz is always a risk, things get misunderstood, jokes die on their arse, but life goes on..

In general though, I stay off this thread cos A. just about zero interests me and B. it doesn't reflect the reality of where Ibiza is at musically. When I see wiser heads moaning about stuff I instinctively agree, but then I remember the cooler gigs and parties which get zero hype on this thread ie the small stuff left to gather cobwebs in barely viewed posts in the smaller clubs section. Does anyone, for instance, mention Sigma or Lolas or Paradise Lost or parties like Flash, Gozo or Homies, or Vinyl Club or Blues Station, in fact an entire ecosystem of smaller bars playing reggae, hiphop, soul, rock, chillout, or (real) house? The obvious hangouts for music heads of advanced age?

Now I'm obviously an old bastard with zero relevance to anything, no doubt muted by at least 27 regulars, but I still love the island in my own way. I've spent the last 10 years fully immersed in mainland Spanish/Catalan culture, and try to support family businesses, hotels, restaurants, shops and real parties wherever we go. And the same applies across the water too. There are existential threats to the island's social, environment and economic model which a large % of this forum doesn't give a shit about, but for me they matter a lot more than the annual round of millionaire DJ musical chairs.

You can still leave and come back which it is quite handy when it gets mega busy inside after garden closes
