ibiza gossip 2025

Only booked my trip for September last week, waited and waited for the flight price to come down and booked at around £125 return (With a 5% jet2 voucher). Still some silly return prices during the two weeks I have off though, I’m talking £300+ on some dates, crazy.

Also looked and looked and looked for some reasonably priced accommodation and it just doesn’t really exist, lot of flashy Instagram type places I just don’t need. So we’re staying at the same place we did last year, Gran Sol in San An, which is very reasonably priced compared to places nearby and has breakfast, gave us a returning discount too. I don’t need a flash place (But don’t want a dump either), we rent a car and are out all day. Think my whole 10 day trip is around £800, can’t knock that.
Try living up north !! £400+ returns

When I was looking at flights I noticed a pattern that flights over weekends (fri sat sun) where most expensive and rest of week significantly cheaper.

I mean it makes sense if people going for a few days over the weekend. But does mean people wanting to do 7/10/14 days have a problem unless go on the quieter days.

Ditto problem for accommodation. Something mid week ok, longer stay hard to find.

The stats out yet for trends and busy days for travel at ibiza airport?

Last year this was definitely the case for me, we booked weekend to weekend morning flights around £200 return, later on noticed how cheap the midweek flights were, under £100 return in some cases. This year not the case at all, our Sunday afternoon fight £40 going out. Morning flights definitely more popular.

This is from Birmingham airport, generally not a cheap airport but lot of summer competition for flights to the usual destinations between the various carriers and even with that in mind some of the return prices are nuts. It’s cheaper to fly return to New York.

Yeah the problem with evening flights is you get to the hotel really late on (or even early hours next day) but you've paid from 11am.

And when leaving kicked out room for 11am and then hanging around for half a day without a room, which i know I cba with these days.

Anyhow this venturing into the hotels thread now 🤣

Nothing beats a jet2 holiday!

Sorry couldn’t resist.

Flights from n.Ireland have always been way more than England which has always been a pain.

Just the flights in this example, cheaper to book the both separately even though they do have the hotel amongst their packages. 10kg more than enough for me.

That said, I don’t think you can beat them because they offer the generous 10kg in their flight price.

Yeah I much preferred the morning flight last year, week later left the hotel at midday and straight to the airport, it’s nice. On the flip side if you’re flight is early enough you’re absolutely knackered later on, nap’s guaranteed.

Yep we’ve got that problem when we come back end of August. 6.30pm flight out Friday, 10.50am on Monday. Booked cheap hotel because we ain’t gonna be in it at all. Still £400 it’s mental

I'd say the UK has the worst economy I have known right now, much reduced disposable income about. Meanwhile as we have discussed at length...budget options in Ibiza have gone upmarket over the last decade or so.

Of course Ibiza has many other nationalities to cover a drop in Brits though.
The UK economy is holding up well, with expected growth around 1.6% in 2025—outpacing Germany, France, and Italy, and ranking second among G7 countries after the US. It’s still in decent shape, despite what the doom-and-gloom headlines might say.

As for Ibiza—it’s just not great value anymore. Higher prices, heavier police presence, and overcrowded clubs where no one’s really dancing have taken the shine off. For a lot of people who are genuinely into the music and the experience, it’s just not the same draw it used to be.

I do agree with this to an extent, I still think the island itself is a great place to go and holiday. Great beaches and really easy to get around by car, think the car is the key bit as it opens the island up so much.

I guess it's a bit lumpy with perhaps the younger ones who'd go to ibiza feeling pinch a bit more, so choosing elsewhere. 🤷‍♂️

Does feel the notching up prices over last few years while hasn't killed the golden goose, certainly maimed it a little 🤣

Personally Iv yet to go in a club this season where nobody is dancing ..I don’t think that stops people from going, what I do agree on is cost ..my daughter went to a Croatia festival ,very good lineup, overall deal for about 5 nights was cheaper than 1 night in Ibiza accomodation and club tkts /drinks etc ..Fortunately for Ibiza it’s easy ,no trains or long transfers on arrival ,quick taxi/bus ,check in ,watered, fed, changed and out within 5 hours of arriving at a U.K. airport..Hard to beat that, but overall costs need to come down .

It’s not just Ibiza, I’ve just been to Budapest for a few days, flights and accommodation price was totally fine (Airbnb was really good value for what we got and where it was) but Budapest itself is definitely a lot more expensive than it once was. When I went 9 years ago I ended up going again a few months later because it was so cheap. Now it just seems like any other Western Europe capital city in terms of cost. Inflation has hit a lot of places pretty hard.

I'd say UK clubs, pubs and restaurants are the quietest I've seen them in my 20 or so years of being out and about. Which indicates less cash in pockets (and also some of it is changing trends when it comes to clubs)

Agree with you on the Ibiza points though, it's morphed into Vegas.

Great to hear about Amnesia doing well! Can’t picture this though… would it not cause a big bottleneck at the entrance?
I Once remember a Cream night that I think had Diplo & Skrillex in ‘that era’ do that. It was an absolute crushfest not helped by security standing near the doors to narrow it even more

I remember going to Made in Italy a couple of times and it was set up that way too.
