I'm the first to have reduced my spending at the restaurant this year, the prices have become impossible, and often the quality is not there.a bit more about 'how's the season going so far', an article in one of the local newspapers...

By the sounds of ‘The Essence”, it’s more like the vibe of, so perhaps a bar, lounge or dare I say a beach club style venue, more then likelihood affiliated to a hotel? Roll on gossip ‘26
Not such a secret. We teased it in June last year. Tomorrowland takes over the old Stella Maris near Cala GracionetaGossip I haven't seen here (maybe because it's about 2026). quick update on how I perceive the state of things right now...
quick update on how I perceive the state of things right now...
- it has become a bit busier since my last post. the island is busy yes, but it's not peak season style. usually the last week of july and the first two weeks of august are the three busiest weeks of the season and normally everywhere is mega busy, so much so it can get overwhelming. and while it generally feels nicely busy now, it's still comfy in my opinion
- ibiza town definitely doesn't feel like peak season. neither does playa d'en bossa.
- most of the clubs are nicely busy on most nights. but if you compare to the last two summers where we saw 'sold out' popping up more and more for various club nights, this year I think I've only seen this once or twice. obviously the new kid on the block (unvrs) provides space for x thousand clubbers each night and that is the main reason everywhere is busy but not packed. so for clubbers it's actually a good thing right now, there are only a very few nights on the island that are really rammed while most other nights are totally bearable (which is also a bit of a novelty for peak season)
- we are in august now and most of the clubs still very much rely on workers and residents to fill their dancefloors. that is also a big difference to past years when in peak season your workers pass was only getting you into the 'weaker' nights.
- I think july was an underwhelming month for lots of businesses, I'm curious to see what august brings. I am certain though that september and even october will be good - I think there's a pattern becoming more and more apparent where people now actively try to avoid the peak season months and try and visit the island before or after that. for economical, but also for climatical reasons and just because it's usually much more comfy in june and sept compared to july and august.

So all quick question about "Pikes Presents, at 528". Is it the full 528 venue "experience" or somewhat reduced/limited areas?
Basically go to PP or 528 normal event for the fullest 528 experience?

Yeah I haven't been since it changed to 528, was wondering how much outside space is there with shade etc, and is PP a reduced amount of outside space shade?
I ask as need to keep out of direct sunlight as much as possible (I'm not a vampire

That’s what I thought, but if I’m right it’s a totally new setting further back between the old outdoor stage and nightclub building. ( was there last week)

As I understand it, tonight for Radio 1 the club will also open at 23:00 although they are stressing that it is not being programmed by R1 (the official After Party is at Amnesia) and will instead be run by 528 themselves
So tonight and 24 September is the real answer (and maybe if they sell enough tickets, SHINE on 25 September could also follow same route? Big ask though)
That said, many of the Pikes Presents dates and the bigger named Friday/Sunday parties (FUSE was mega last weekend, Kaluki is picking up each month, Josh Baker and Max Dean's dates will be huge) are great parties, although only one stage - and normally the Garden Stage.
There will be a couple of exceptions where they use the Grand Park Stage instead. That the old Tree House Benimussa area for any oldies
There are areas which are occasionally roped off for VIPs on the Garden Stage. Very small. There's a larger VIP area on the Grand Park Stage. It would never be made publicly accessible even if there were none on any given date, so I don't think it really encroaches on the crowd

So basically most events at 528 don't use all the open areas but there is always something outside.
The thing I liked about zoo was ability to wander about to all little areas between stages and chill and not get cooked alive
Was looking at 2nd Sept

But also possible something the week before.I guess its unlikely such things will sell out completely so can buy a few days before hand.

I'm not certain that the DJ Harvey standalone date has any outside action. It might have a DJ on the terrace part early doors, similar to the regular Saturday nights but it is being advertised as the club-only
But other than that, yes, all parties use at least one outdoor area

Got an email other day saying that this now starts at 6pm and is using outdoors aswell. Quite pleased about that. Doesn’t look like it’s selling well to me
