The big question is will Resistance ever come back to Ibiza? They were last here summer 2019 Privilege. UNVRS would seem the obvious place for it (would their production even fit into Amnesia)? And if it did come back would Coxy play for a TNL venue? He’s played Ushuaia a few times, but never Hï.

Yeah for the various festivals etc.. He as in Dublin last August for a one day Coxy event.. You just never know what will pan out this season, its the first in a long time l'm excited to see what unfolds

As others have said before it's a chance for them to go more 'underground' we've discussed phone use a lot so I'll keep it brief but stickers over cameras on the door instantly gives the place a USP over the Instagramathons at Hi/Univers.

Also got to remember that while big events like Elrow bring in huge numbers there's a big fee to the promoter and production cost. A lesser known event getting a moderate crowd could be just as profitable for Amnesia. They also have the flexibility of closing one of the rooms and using the curtain on the terrace to make the place smaller for smaller nights.
 
I hope there is a lot of movement. I think there are multiple parties at Hi, Pacha and DC10 that are either stale or don’t make sense.

Unpopular opinion, I think Solomun should move on.

I quite like the fact that Solomun’s night has been through its huge box office selling out phase. And while still very busy, it felt last year that lots of spectators and people that thought they had to just be there had moved on. Felt more like the period from 2013-18.

And hopefully Elrow being at UNVRS might mean it’s less crazy-busy.
 
I still think Hi might have the toughest time next year. UNVRS will cannibalize the hell out of it. It’s going to be like Vegas where the shiny new club gets all the attention and the former shiny new club becomes out of favor quickly, regardless of DJ talent.

If Amnesia doesn’t get their act together they will struggle as well, which is crazy because it’s the best venue on the island imo.

it's genuinely disappointing to see some of those moves. paradise was a great fit for amnesia and it's sad to see that it's literally just the money that drove JJ away from the club. it's not like paradise has outgrown amnesia actually, I know for a fact that every week a lot of workers got in free and helped filling the club. that won't change with them being at UNVRS, no matter how hard they market it, they will still depend on the workers most weeks.

there will be more to come. personally I'm disgusted by some of the decisions and it just shows that currently there is zero loyalty in this industry, but rather some artists will simply follow where the money flows.

I know, free market, offer and demand and all, but still. BAH.

Totally agree…the thing is I’m not sure (or hope not) this canalisation will work for the best. Hopefully the majority here will see through it all and go to where their hearts are regardless of the big ticket twats.

Who is there left to fill Amnesia is the likely reality of all this.
 
It’s sad there is no loyalty and money doesn’t buy you happiness in life. So l really hope it works out for them all! Would Paradise fill an 8000 capacity venue weekly, hit & miss. I’m over in September, giving plenty of time for the dust to settle across the land. I may stick head in to the Unvrs to see all the stars (if they align) but for me the real Ibiza clubs is the likes of Amnesia etc. which l still will support as much as l can!
