I think they need a proper "night" residency to get more creative. Doing a 9pm-11pm Ushuaia set every week must be pretty repetitive when you know you have to deliver big-room only for those 2 hours.

They played all night at De Marktkantine in March 2022 and it was completely different to the festival type sets people have become accustomed to. I suspect they are moving to Pacha so they can do something similar there but on a regular basis. A lot more freedom to play what they perhaps want to play.

Agree with this camelphat imo have been very big in the UK for the past 4 years and has very little to do with the matuttes directly.

in the youtube video I posted they mention how much there enjoying the bigger production they are doing at ushuaia.

I think them moving to the Pacha recidency will give them the freedom to play for much longer and do much more visually with the new display at pacha.

Alot of there newer stuff is similar to tale of us style and they played at afterlife last year aswell.

I will defiantly go and see them at pacha 👌
 
Any news on DC10 weekly parties? Surely one at least has to go based on last year or do they just switch days around? Would Topping be more succesful on a different day? Will Carl Cox return? Will the likes of Keinemusik branch out into a stand alone party with the likes of Dj Koze and Benji B as regular guests or will they still operate under circo loco umbrella?

Re. Cox. I genuinely do not know yet. I think has been mentioned before by @W_I_C , I would imagine if it comes back, he will need some more star-power DJs. As much as I admired the second room and the DJs playing, may need some more well-known DJs mixed in.

I would imagine Solid Grooves would be back on Thursday too as Bibi is hot-property.

In terms of moving Topping what night would you move him to? Wednesday has Paradise as competition, and Friday is just crazy competition from Marco Carola @ Pacha (probably Pacha's busiest night now) and Defected @ Eden.

I would imagine Keinemusik would continue what they are doing. Some more full-on Circo take-overs would be nice IMO.
 
Cox's plans likely hinge a lot on what happens (or doesn't) with RESISTANCE, which, coincidentally, has been confirmed to be part of Ultra Costa del Sol at the end of June. That just so happens to be the weekend before it used to start its Ibiza residency

On the assumption that Privi doesn't open this year, could it be at Resistance @ Amnesia?
 
The music snobbery in the last page or two 🤢

Would love to see Trick move to another night than Defected, but as mentioned many other barriers there. Trick are absolutely tearing it up at the moment, musically, events wise and even pulling in a good atmosphere from the younger crowd that usually seem more in to the rave than the actual music often (I include some of mates in this).

Agree. I think point we were making is just hard to see what night of the week it slots into. Also, quite a similar crowd to Bibi/Solid Grooves which is the night before in DC10.

Wont happen but i think Trick would be better suited to ushuaia (obvs would need to improve a lot numbers wise to get a gig as big as that!)

I haven’t asked/heard anything regarding Trick but i’ll do some digging if anyones interested😉
 
Pacha sharing and liking various adriatique videos. Be interesting to see if anything is in the works for them this year again, there was an all night long (that ended up not being all night long) last year so maybe a another similar one off or two. Can’t imagine a residency with them being relatively similar to both Solomun and Camelphat
 
With the heavy competition can Ibiza fill 2 major clubs on the same night seems tough - circoloco, paradise, solid grooves, music on, claptone, antz, etc own those nights any interesting shifts in 23 or more safe tech house
 
Does Destino generally open every Thurs in July and August with either Carola or Solomon? I missed it last yr and it's my top priority this yr (preferably Soloman) Will be there end July/beginning of Aug.
