That's fine. There are big parties I would not go to with free entry either. Is it bad that I wouldn't go to Elrow if I had free entry
Underwhelming line-ups on most of those dates...but people aren't going there for the music. Which is a sham
Okay I have to agree with Paul and Stivi the line ups are not that exciting. But what are people expecting? They have Kolsch, Ilario Alicante, Archie Hamilton, Marco Fareone, Adam Beyer, Chris Stussy....Not bad. If you wanna see Dixon or Solomun there's other nights for that. Actually I have seen Circoloco nights with a worse line up, altough I must admit their overall program could be considered "better". But it all depends what you're looking for. Also, you could stumble upon a new name that surprises you. Jaguar (BBC radio), Manda Moor (who's also on Paradise and Circo line ups) and Rendher (also on Solid Grooves line ups) have all surprised me at Elrow parties last year.yeah even if elrow has never really been about the artists, I have to say they really aren't anything special this year are they.
yet the show will obviously work!
Oh trust me, they do. Last year they booked Jaimie Jones, Marco Carola, Vintage Culture (yeah not my taste either but probably quite expensive) and Paco Osuna on an Island in croatia for only 800 people.Id imagine it's more Elrow don't feel the need to pay for top tier DJs these days. You could probably have my nan on the line up and punters would still turn up in the thousands.
I've seen the likes of Adam Beyer, Ida Engberg, Kolsch, Paco Osuna, Jaimie Jones....really enjoying playing at Elrow. And off course...dark clubs with lasershows are everywhere. Once in a while you just want to see that confetti and inflatables drop before your booth and people going nuts.I was speaking to an artist manager last night, and in fact quite the opposite. They are queuing up to play elrow events - though not necessarily on Ibiza. And often against the advice of their management

I couldn't believe what was I was seeing, never seen anything like that in Ibiza. Went to the terrace after Ida finished but the breakdancers were also present. Music was pretty poor there so left around half 4. The big curtain being up made the place feel empty even though it actually wasn't really like you said.Unfortunately there was an attention seeking breakdance posse present and they insisted on pushing everyone out of the way to feed their egos. Worse still, a few people gave them the attention they so desperately craved and started filming. Talk about kill the vibe. I just don't know how people can have the nerve. Glasses were dropped and smashed in the process of all this too. It just zapped all the enthusiasm out of me
Is this the same “People from Ibiza” from many years ago which was held at Amnesia? What does the 'people from ibiza' night at cova santa usually involve?
Why are people sour on Elrow @ Amnesia? Just curious. It looks like an interesting theatrical, ridiculous experience.
I get that, but for me personally I have done it over 30 times since 2017 all over the world. Ibiza, Barcelona, Madrid, New York, Berlin, Bulgaria, Croatia, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Belgium and I can still enjoy the hell out of it, especially in Amnesia or Barcelona, altough off course the surprise element of the confetti and inflatables is kinda gone. They have over 20 themes and some themes can be used outdoors (festivals or open air clubs) and others are more suited for clubnights so it's not that every party feels the same.I think it’s more, there are only so many times you can do it right? It’s a great night for a party with a group of people. Everyone needs to experience it at least once IMO.
Anyone would think you’re an Elrow Lover or something…….I get that, but for me personally I have done it over 30 times since 2017 all over the world. Also, what makes Elrow fun for me is the people. This will probably start some debate about music, but let's be clear I love music and love hearing and discovering new music at parties. I'm just not the type to stand on the dancefloor, eyes closed or focused on the dj booth all night long. I am the type that wants to meet people on the dancefloor, see them dance, laugh, have a chat and dance. At Elrow that is way more common than it is at let's say Transmoderna or Afterlife.
The breakdancing stuff did not happen at Elrow but earlier that week if I read it correctly?I saw one defender of Elrow. I wouldn't be happy about breakdancing circles either, floor space is at a premium in Amnesia.
Playlist updated:Black Coffee last night was really good musically
I ended up at Amnesia last night for DNS. Yet again Ida Engberg stole the show. That's 2 out of 2 for her this summer. Though last night she went very trancey on a couple of occasions.
I was going to stay until the end of her set, but in the end I decided to leave with 45 minutes left. I was sobering up by this point, but the music was top drawer.

Oh well. I hadn't even intended to go out and I got to catch a great set, so it wasn't a lost cause
As for the club itself, in the Club Room, much like the Pyramid dates in 2019, they partitioned 1/3 of the club off but they also moved the VIP from the balcony downstairs to the raised platform. On the terrace, they did similar, with a curtain reducing the size by half which I personally haven't seen them do in that room before. In the end I think they underestimated how many numbers they would get, because both spaces were pretty full. For the first part of the night, it was definitely a good move
At Amnesia, were the Guardia Civil/Police and/or drugs dogs at the entrance again?
Not that I saw, but that's not to say that they weren't or won't be againAt Amnesia, were the Guardia Civil/Police and/or drugs dogs at the entrance again?
