outdoor events such as concerts (no dancing) and big sport events are good to go already now, that hasn't changed. what changes is that from 14th august onwards, you need either proof of double vaccination, a recent negative test or proof of having passed covid to attend those events.
Will Spain accept vaccines from other countries?

My in-laws in Portugal said some places (including bars) would only accept vaccines issued in Portugal.

Although assume Ibiza wouldn’t be so strict, given so many people there aren’t from Spain.

spain will accept all vaccines that are accepted in the EU - currently pfizer, moderna, astrazeneca and janssen IIRC.

re pricing I understand the economics and feel bad for venues/staff against the wall but equally I think premium prices would be more justified if you were getting a full live experience eg watching a band, comedy, cabaret, show, or some combination of all these rather than simply some guy playing tunes. The visual element becomes really important when you're sat down in a way it isn't when you're dancing. Personally I can't see us paying these kinds of prices unless there is real added value. The sad reality.

Cafe Mambo, Tanit Beach, and Pikes are the three places we have booked for this weekend, and in my opinion much more reasonably priced at the moment, compared to Blue Marlin, Cova Santa and Ushuaïa.

understand but then again you really can't compare the first three venues with cova santa and/or ushuaïa in regards to the artists you get to see. it won't take long until you'll see who's playing ushuaïa and I have to admit it's a far stronger line up than I'd expected. it might not be for everyone, and I understand everyone who doesn't wanna go because it's seated, but they've done a proper job in regards to the talent they booked.

They did what possible under this conditions. It helps the venue to survive , so we have normal cova santa days next year. And it hels the staff survive. Otherwise ? Hmmm ... Everything is ok
But for me its too expensive.

I would think so but I'm not 100% sure
It is. As long as you have an EU certificate/QR it can be read by the different national checking apps. Confirmed that at Ibiza and I didn’t face any probs with the certificate in Portugal neither. In most EU countries type of vaccination needs to be EU approved, but further to that no issues with the jabs being applied in a foreign EU country (that’s simple EU law).

Just returned from the Island. And while we were hoping for outdoor clubbing some weeks ago we still did not leave disappointed.
The pricing is one thing…but to be honest we didn’t leave Cova Santa with a much higher bill than at a regular (pre-COVID) Ushuaia-Party.
The vibes are still great, and the people in an excellent mood. And meanwhile you can even go for an exceptional line-up if that’s what you are looking for.
To debate the rationale behind restrictions is senseless cause it is what we have to stick with. But the Island is trying everything to bring us as close to normal as possible.
And you really really can have lots of fun at this point already.
Palmarama is just one more step in the right direction…an option…with alternatives if you have other priorities

These sit-down events at those prices are not a silver lining, as I've read before. Clubs in my country are open right now for parties, but even if not, I would never go to these sitdown-affairs in Ibiza at ridiculous prices.
I booked for a week now and while I've always gone clubbing too, I look forward to enjoy simple restaurants, chiringuitos and the cheeky beach club once.
