So the Theatre and drama continues . No dancing within 1 meter, Masks to be worn on dance from ,75% max capacity allowed,Heath passports/vaccine required ,all clients must be seated ,no drinking when standing . No Thank you

We will carry on with all the banging gigs and festivals the UK . No restrictions
Politics , politics when people vote with their feet next , the Spanish and Ibiza local government will be flustered with less tourist cash .

the vaccinated/negative/recovered thing is in place in lots of countries in europe and it's not an issue at all.
berlin started clubbing with masks this summer and it wasn't a problem.
I'm fairly sure that for 2022 we will be close to or in the same situation as you are in the UK but it's undeniable you're a few steps ahead.

that said, I'll enjoy being able to go on the beach and enjoy the sun after those parties rather than being in the fog, cold and rain you guys are looking ahead at for the coming months...

Maybe have a bit of respect for what countries decide to do at their own pace? This is not the UK or anywhere else for that matter.

There are reasons that Ibiza and the baleares are careful.

Btw : NYE ist what I am waiting for.

5 days in october , maybe , to see the island again. Hope to sit in Dalt Vila or any beach Club at the day ( also beaching ) and go for a drink at
night , until 2 or 3 in a bar. Nothing else. Will be possible , I think. Hope there is no problem with pre order of tables or something. Anyone will give me a wine , I hope.

I agree totally with you .Each country can decide its own path . But since this was a Ibiza clubbing forum ,my comments and free thoughts on Ibiza clubbing,Ibiza clubs news and the rules on dancing are not out of context
.I cannot find any disrespect in my comments ?

I think most people would disagree with you .Dancing in the heat of a packed dance floor and club environment with a mask over your face and nose would be an issue ,unless you lived on Mars ?

With most flights to Evissa , from Mainland Europe stopping in October ,the fog is all some people have .
As you are a moderator for this site ,it is good to put a positive spin on clubbing in Ibiza. However the news this week regarding night clubs and large venues is just 'lip service '
We have travel to Ibiza ,Madrid and Malaga this year so I have no issue with the regulations over masks in restaurants ,in the streets and generallay in Spain
I still believe nightlife in Ibiza may not bounce back in 2022 as fast as some would like .

I am not saying it's great. but berlin in summer proved it was possible to dance with a mask. berlin of all places eh.

various airlines are flying longer this year, some even into november.

call it lip service, maybe in a few days when suddenly some parties get announced (I can't talk about it yet) you'll see it is more than just that.

oh and I am fairly sure ibiza 2022 will be already very close to normal but each to their own.

it's undeniably not a perfect solution, but it's a start. it won't stay like this for very long I believe and rather than just pointing out the negative one could simply be happy that club life actually starts up again on our island eh...
I'm definitely happy for our beloved island and everyone in the industry. Just pointing out that it's a dangerous detail.

at the test event it took you literally 30 seconds to get from zone A to zone B.

I don't think it will take you longer than a minute or two with the 75% capacity rule so I genuinely don't see real danger.

The problem is its a bit hard to justify that "own pace" when its miles behind not just the UK (they were admittedly an outlier being the first to fully open in mid July in England) but at this stage hitting early October Ibiza is behind pretty much all of Europe. Despite having the option in Ibiza of at least having outdoor events due to the reliable weather, that we know by now are very safe. And despite how much of the Ibizan economy is dependent on hospitality.

Its annoying for tourists who like to party sure, and its easy to tell them to get over it, but its the local people whos incomes and livelihoods depend on the hospitality industry that this is really problematic for.

Is it? When you compare the health service here and the age of the population?

Also take into account that while the socialist government here may be a lot more (too?) careful, that at the opposite end of the scale, the UK was reckless

If you really want to compare both, maybe take these factors into consideration.

It's great that the UK has pushed ahead with events, really, but let's not pretend it's all golden over there right now, eh (!!!)

But my whole point is its not just the UK to be compared to now. Its pretty much anywhere else in Europe at this stage. If it was just the UK that we could compare Ibiza to then sure, like back in July, you could argue the UK was unusual and being reckless. But its not now.

You can go clubbing in most of Europe next weekend, with no mask on the dance floor, no problem. But you can't in Ibiza, a place with far more local jobs dependent on hospitality, and with far better weather, and more outdoor hospitality availability, and with comparable ICU capacity/usage and covid case rates. And with similar age profiles to plenty of places in Europe. So its just not logical in any way. So yes, it is hard to justify.

halloween weekend in ibiza anyone?

Halloween in Ibiza is amazing fun and very unique but unfortunately, we need to be back for 31 October.

Currently looking at 23-30 October. Should there be decent events on then?

Nobody understands the issues about the local workforce and the desire to party here more than us, believe me! But although we would like to have dancefloors back sooner and properly with less restrictions, it high time that visitors here thought about the bigger picture. We all love clubbing, but that comes with a wider responsibility

Perhaps if tourists, including many UK tourists, didn't take the mick with stretching the healthcare here in a normal summer, then maybe the government here would've been open to opening up clubs sooner. Something to think about

well 23rd is amnesia, but only if you already have a ticket...

generally, I believe the events will be mainly on the weekends, friday to sunday...plus if we are lucky on mondays ;)

can't wait.
