By mid summer things will gradually be going back to normal. The question will be how many businesses in Ibiza have gone under (hotels, restaurants, airlines, bars etc) and whether clubs etc will be able to mobilise to put things on at relatively short notice.
 
Bars all over Ireland start making money the second they open.. they are closed a week now and I've heard of people I know crying because they can't believe it could be months before they open again.. these aren't alcoholics, just people who like a pint or two every day....

positive forecast: lockdown only goes until end of april (anything earlier I can't see), those new medicine combos they are testing are bringing good results, ibiza gradually opens up in the middle of summer and we maybe have a bit of a 'season' in the second part of what is usually our season.

negative forecast: lockdown until end of may or later, flights only start end of summer, social places (bars, restaurants, clubs) can't even open yet this summer season because of laws.

realistically, probably somewhere in the middle? but for the clubs it might turn into a complete non-season in the worst case scenario
 
Yes I cant see how clubs can open as they may have a restriction on the amount of people that are allowed in (finally) lol... joking aside they may also be restrictions on social distancing in clubs
 
In a couple of weeks one can say ...
They will not reopen after the first good signs .
Canmot imagine nearly everything open , except the clubs ... Everything or nothing
 
If you are optimistic and lockdowns removed start of June, you ain't gonna open your borders to Johnny tourist without any effective treatment for covid19.

If they find an existing med that makes it mild for everyone, then happy days and life goes back to normal.

But realistically, this year is home alone year for us all.

I agree. It’s taken weeks for the growth to occur. It’s still seen as 12-14 for the peak to happen in the UK. Then it has to flatten, then decline. I think 30 potential vaccines are currently in testing worldwide so hopefully one of these lands. But if it does, it won’t be ready for use for a year. I think we have to get used to the idea of no holidays this year. Staying alive is the principal objective this year.
