I criticized festivals as well earlier this year and you didn't agree so I'm why you changed your tune

Ok you got me... I think that was a slightly different discussion though. I guess it depends on how you define festies but i think there is a world of difference between someone putting something on in the middle of nowhere with no major commercial constraints, showcasing talent from across the board and low-key security/branding.... and some daytime thing where you're herded in front of some stage to watch regimented bignames go through the motions.

Not too bothered about the festival thing, as almost all of the events are out of high season. Its just a way of getting people onto the island at slightly quieter times, nothing wrong with spreading an overcrowded July/August crowd out.

June 18 to 22 is high season , in my opinion.
Should do it at the beginning of june : Weather ok , season starts ...

mid june isn't considered high season. june can be a very good month sometimes, but it's definitely not peak season

Ok , but late for a festival like this. They have to know what to do : Want to extend the peak 1 or 2 weeks in june. Maybe makes sense ...

why don‘t we wait until more is publicly know about that festival before we start judging it

You are right. Should wait. If there are people which have fun , the event was good ...
They are looking for a fifferent Ibiza than me and this is ok.

there's a fair amount of movement going on again for ibiza 2020. some clubs change little, some a lot! it's too early to openly discuss on here what I heard, but a few exciting moves included.

a full residency - not sure. a handful dates - could happen!
Thanks. Will relay to Mrs LBS. this could be a significant obstacle to me being on the island next year!

Well for me, I'll say it again: festivals are like what Neflix and other steaming outlets are to the visual medium- they make it too available and disposible so what you're watching doesn't seem special anymore.

I do like the outdoor aspect but Ibiza is just so restrictive on outdoor partying and closing times too, that I don't know how this will work, and if they stuff a lot of DJs it'll be worse than I imagined. I guess we'll have to see how this plays out. Benimussa Park is ripe for a decent festival type of event..just wish it and Ushuaia and Ibiza Rocks could be open till 2 or 3 AM or preferably till sunrise goddammit lol

Whitsun is quite early this year (end of May)... will it be (over)crowded on the island during these days? Wonder if I should fly May 19-26 or May 26- June 03...

in terms of numbers on the island you won't feel a big difference I think and no, neither of those dates will be too busy.
