Why do people assume you will have a designated area to dance?
Once all measures are lifted...I dont think social distancing in clubs will still be a thing. Clubs will probably have to make sure social distancing is possible, therefor reducing capacity. If you are actually social disDancing is up to you I guess.

It'll be this plus wearing a mask will be a requirement.

Eric prydz just said on his radio show he is gutted he can’t make it to Ibiza this year (for obvious reasons) he had a few dates/residency?
Nothing was officially announced, but i'm guessing he was probably going to be at Hi. I'm sure someone on here can probably confirm or deny.

Because how else with them implement social distancing in a club

They have to keep social distancing that's one of things to stop the spread.. Even if they have reduced capacity they won't want people standing close to each other

They won't implement it in a club. They will be obliged to create social distancing opportunities.
Have you seen supermarkets? They have limited capacity but no social-distancing police right? Clubs won't have that either.
No one will tell you not to dance to close to someone else. How? I can dance with my girlfriend, but not with someone else? Should bouncers know who's with who? Social distancing is not going to be enforced in public locations once measures are lifted....but clubs will probably have to create the possibility to keep your distance thus limiting capacity and perhaps some lines on the floor near the bar and toilets. I seriously cannot imagine anything else.

Yes but just like some of the djs don't want to risk djing at a party and then report of an outbreak

Imagine the news.... Amnesia virus outbreak... will be shut down straight away for a while

Will be in their best interest to implement something.. Which will be dance in your circle or on a line

The other clubs that have opened so far have done that

I have yet to see a club that seriously did that (not counting memes or funny vids) ?
I did see footage from China on Resident Advisor where people just wore a mask and had a blast.

There was another party that did too, face masks and they had to dance in sectioned off squares

I currently tend to think not. because if that's what they would have to do, then I can't see them opening. but prove me wrong...I really don't know
I dont think it's gonna happen either. Just reduced capacity and the advice to keep distance. Not saying @cunninghamali views are not making sense...they are. But I think governments will not enforce clubs to create a social distancing police.

Small example in the Netherlands...terraces can reopen on June 1st but only couples / households are allowed to sit close together. But the governments have said they are not going to enforce this rule by checking this. Terrace owners are not checking this either, if you sit close together they will assume you are a household. Only if you create a group with multiple tables the terrace owner will enforce the rules.

My guess is...this will be the same in clubs, once dance floors are open...everybody will forget about the distance within a few hours and it's not up to the club owners or bouncers to enhance those guidelines. Is that a good thing? For the people and the experience, hell yeah. Back to normal.
Will the virus spread again? Probably a bit more than now yeah...but clubs tend to draw a young audience (18-45 years old) so the pressure on healthcare capacity is small hopefully so clubs dont have to close again when the numbers rise a bit.

They have banned Large gatherings in some countries for a few months still if and when that's lifted it may not even be worth opening the clubs for a month or two

Yes they probably can't force people to social distance but there is no way they will want news of an outbreak starting in their club

Clubs should be preparing to buy and implement high end airco systems and windows / adjustable roofs that can be opened for fresh air flow.

More and more research points out that it's the lack of good airconditioning causes aerosols of virus particles to float around in a closed area.

Will it be even cost-effective for some of the clubs to open at reduced capacity...

It will definitely not be what we are used to and will for sure have to have designated areas, which is hard to strick to when you are on the sauce

Agree, even if I set off at the start of the night with a bottle of sanitiser and told myself id behave and keep 2metres, that would go out of the window after several drinks and a pinger. Id be hugging everyone and probs considering drinking the bottle of sanitiser ;)

I think a few low key outdoor sets will be about as good as it gets this year.
