when I first saw the flyer for the amnesia opening I genuinely thought someone had uploaded one from 2010 :) with this terrible design and the djs on it.
I'm feeling amnesia has lost a lot of drive and momentum with the cocoon departure, after years of a strong and solid weekly lineup.

amnesia have always been about very simple designs when it comes to their opening and closing party. I can't remember one flyer I thought was looking overly great. but it's their style. no changes to that really.

the opening line up this year is pretty much what I expected. as others have said it's very early and thus I understand they didn't go for the very biggest names. still though it's relatively decent - it's not to my taste personally but I'm not target market anyway!

as for calling amnesia's demise or the club losing drive - it's far too early to tell. while I appreciate lots of people think like that, we'll only ever know after the season. it loses two of their oldest parties - this is an undeniable truth. but they still have two of the island's hottest tickets (music on and elrow) and together is a very solid night too. let's see what happens with the new monday, the new wednesday and new thursday before we judge. changes like this can very well be a chance for a club...and this comes from someone who started clubbing with cream and is probably the forum's most loyal cocoon fan.

once their full weekly programme is out I might be able to explain a little further.

Everything about that Amnesia opening party is depressing. Tired and unimaginative line up and poster. There are promoters of clubs with a capacity of a few hundred here in Belfast who are expressing more creativity and ingenuity every single week than that lot are. The place closed 5 months ago and this is what they come up with? Dreadful.

It would be nice if promoters stopped with the bro-fest heavy line-ups too.

All day I dream during the day on the beach would be amazing.

Think it could work at Cova Santa, Destino or Benimussa Park. They do a good job with the decorations to make it work anywhere outside really. They turn Brooklyn superfund sites into an Oasis.

Por favor not at Las Dalias like acid Sundays ...the sound system sucks...

Yea ADID is Lee Burridge's. My guess would be some kind of monthly event, as i cant see it happening weekly. Not necessarily what i would gear towards musically but I did happen upon an event in Chicago and I'll say they do a hell of a job with their choice of location and setup. Of all the ADID camp, i think Lost Deserts is the star of the pack.

Anything in the Cream moving to Sunday at Hï rumour?

Might this just be another 'Creamfields' type thing?

Hi on Sundays last year was quite EDM in the main room. Afrojack, Steve Angello, Oliver Heldens etc. What could Cream do / book that Hi couldn't? Or must be some reason for Hi to work with an external promoter on this night instead
