news just in - both DYSTOPIA and children of the 80s TODAY are cancelled because of the poor weather.

spotlight ticket owners obviously will get an automated refund ASAP.

Due to flooding I’d say ,, as it was ok weather wise from early afternoon

Ah well back to great weather tomorrow

we were just asked to take off the 'closing party' from the last ANTS date (29th september)... :!:

more news on this soon ;)

This is the first year where I didn't go Ants. I almost did for Radio One but I was dead that day. I feel the lineups took a hit. Rather do Dystopia with the newer talent and cooler production, which I did

Agree, but I assume that they [Ants] are still almost at full-house every week with their c.2014 tech-house on repeat.

sorry but ANTS isn't suffering because of dystopia at all. dystopia so far just hasn't properly taken off really. agree though that ANTS line ups have been pretty uninspiring (IMO for a while now tbh)

I never said Ants was suffering, just that the lineups have been kinda lame. But since you mentioned it, is it suffering actually? Radio One Ants seemed rammed (lineup was stacked for it).

I guess Dystopia hasn't taken off, it was pretty dead before 8 Aug 3rd. But I love the amount of effort and interactivity with the performers, it brought out something in me lol and I had fun.

In the latest Ushuaia mag, there's an interview with Luciano and it seems as if had a lot to do with this party. He takes about the creative team and how it was something they talked about for a couple of years.

there were maybe two or three dates when ANTS also was a tiny little bit quieter this year (simply because of the way the season worked this year), but I believe it's still the busiest event at the venue together with david guetta's big. still packed pretty much every week and definitely not suffering.

well, for dystopia they got luciano aboard as the ticket selling headliner - to me this is totally obvious. and I don't believe a word re them having talked about this for a couple of years. my take is simple: they saw how well woomoon does and anything a bit freaky / burning man-esque and last summer decided that for this summer they'll do something like that as well...voila.
