As soon as djs reach a certain level of popularity (achievable without selling out) they attract this hate (sometimes misplaced) from the underground. I understand the Marco Carola one as he completely sold out musically and the others have sometimes enticed there detractors but for me Sven and Hawtin havn't overly compromised their sound (even if you don't always like what they play) and can still tonk it out nicely when they're in the zone............They also still bring so much to the party with their events/ideas etc

I go every year without fail and apart from the tini night I went to I barely see anyone from the UK there. Mainly Spanish in my experience so I would say yes to a loyal following. I went twice last year. One was a Rhadoo night which was surprisingly very quiet compared to the previous year but doesn't put me off but I saw a few arrive and leave very quickly when they saw a half full dancefloor.

The tini night was busiest yet the shittest by far.

I feel the same. this season will be my first EVER in 11 years that I will skip amnesia! and I LOVE that main room. They better throw a lot of money at afterlife next summer to lure them in :) or strengthen music on lineups again, they are particularly weak this year.
 
I have been the last two years and he does not play that tech stuff crap all night....it is just normal techno.. what he does is drop in the crap commercial techno song here and there...then goes back to techno...you would not be able to see that from the video clips

It’s tech house at best. Boring tech house at that (not that there’s that much really entertaining tech house).

I went to Amnesia 4 times last year and may only go twice at most this time. Pyramid dates are so so, so may check one out and one El Row
 
Any video iv ever seen of music on has looked completely boring to point where I have just been baffled for the last few years of its popularity.
The dancefloor always looks like its standing still. The daylight videos are the worst.
 
If I was on the Island tomorrow or any Thursday across the summer then I’d definitely do Afterlife. Haven’t done Hi yet and would prefer if it was still in the Vista, Privilege or Amnesia but I’m sure it’s going to be quality week on week

Ha, and i thought it was just me who noticed that
 
I think Music On is getting too much flack here. I had a crazy time last year...the vibe was great. I'm not going this year though because the lineups are eh. My only reason to go is to see Monika Kruse in the Club room with a most likely extended set and Steve Lawler on that terrace but I dunno if it's worth that ticket price
