It’s perfect.
I’m there with the missus for 10 days from the 26th. Weather is nice but not too hot, clubs are busy but not rammed and the clubs tend to be filled with the more mature clubber.

Personally, clubbing wise, it's amazing if your tastes are underground leaning. Island is quieter, less youngsters. Weather not as reliable but still generally good. It's my favourite time of year for sure.

Agree with all this. And I know I may come across as an anti British British person, but it is more international that time too. Much less Brits abroad as the holiday season is over.

Just awful... awful scenes! I know Carola has been verging more and more mainstream, but even by his standards, this is poor.

I've noticed that Carola has found a winning formula with the sheeplike camera phone generation - play monotonous tech house for the majority of the night and then pick a few incredibly obvious and lazy old classics to finish in the small amount of morning sunlight to guarantee people video and post.
I've seen videos of him playing "King of My Castle", "4U (MK remix) and now "Seven Nation Army" - which begs the question, what on earth has happened to the old Marco Carola!? It seems like since he has completely changed his record collection along with his new face. Disgraceful from someone I genuinely used to enjoy.

These facebook/instagram pages are littered with videos of him playing questionable tracks.
The other one I've seen has been a 2018 tech house version of Masters At Work "Work"...

Precisely - the formula works for the new sort of crowd he is looking to attract. There are some weeks where I would honestly consider Labyrinth at Pacha more underground and with generally speaking a more credible selection of artists than a lot of Music On dates. Who would have thought that a few years back eh!?
Amnesia really has gone down the pan for me this season - my favorite club but with a seriously limited number of events where I have any interest anymore. The odd 'all night long' in the main room at Elrow and some Pyramid dates. That is where my interest ends.

Agreed. And certainly when I have visitors in future, this will be the point I'll try to convey. Sadly, we'd already done Pacha for Cocoon earlier in the week, otherwise I think it would have been a goer with Beyer & Ida last Friday.

We’re having similar problems mate.
Solomun on Sunday, Circoloco on the Monday and Cocoon on the Wednesday are always going to be on the agenda for us. We were then going to swerve Pyramid in an attempt for a slightly earlier night.
That leaves us with Music On as our only option for attending Amnesia during our next visit - but based upon every video I’m seeing and my last few experiences it’s an event I would be bothered about if truth be told. I never thought I would see the day where I spent a week in Ibiza and not one night in Amnesia!
....then if we want to go out on the Friday we have to think do we really want to be in Pacha three times in a week!? Complicated times this season.

Yeah, I can understand that - I think we can all agree that in Carola’s case it we forced!
That doesn’t look like a great clubbing moment, it looks like he’s reaching for a cheesy crowd pleaser to get maximum videos!
