Coxy in August? Will it be part of Resistance or his own brand? Would make sense to put mega star on in August after the slower Resistance dates then?

Pacha tweeted some tweet about Solomun the other day: "Missing Sundays w/ @SolomunMusic + his guests! Great closing alongside @TaleOfUs #Ibiza #sundayFunday"

Should we read anything into it?

said it plenty of times before...hyte is doing great on international level where they get fantastic line ups and thus pull the crowds (amsterdam, berlin events etc). hyte ibiza has seen zero real evolution nor actuall progress in numbers in the last 3 years though. I‘m still not sure it‘ll be gone but I for one would not be surprised in the slightest

Worldwide, yeah. But not in Ibiza, which is where it counts. Mosaic does well elsewhere too. I don't think it's enough

More concerned with a fancy strap-line each season than anything of a tangible identity

Me too. It doesn’t get a lot of love here but never has. The the terrace gets very busy and the music in one of the two rooms is always bang on in terms of quality. It’s a significantly better option to that of the dick head fest at paradise imo. But I think the night gets a bit lost at amnesia where Monday’s and Fridays offer a similar genre by a more established promoter. If hyte offered what it did from the start at a different venue I think it would have received a lot more hype and built accordingly. It almost feels like they tried to muscle in at amnesia where there was no capacity for its offer.
 
I wouldn’t be too fussed about losing Hyte to be honest. I wouldn’t however, like to see Mosaic leave the island.

I think that night is far more niche and has something a little more special about it..
 
yes, i wont cry for Hyte dissapearing from ibz parties, as beside the party Locodice Bday b2b Carl cox, its kind boring Tech House party, tbh ..:D

i wont be affected if Mosaic dissapear, even the closing party was nice ..

if they can put more house parties i'm fine..less EDM, Less Techno too :lol:, less big names & more real/authentic Djs is the answer :p

Woomoon back to Cova santa is a great news, yes their summer are very short..

I agree with your view. A lot of people who would go to HYTE, go to Cocoon and Music On. Going to Amnesia 3 times in a 5 days is a lot. Maybe if they went to another venue which is smaller they could build the night up more in Ibiza. That's just me looking for a solution :)

If HYTE did leave, I'm not sure what would fill the Wednesday night slot?. Hope it wouldn't be an EDM night or something.

I’ve never seen any free entries widely available for hyte so I wouldn’t know. I guessed almost everyone is paying to get in unless I’m missing something.

I think the venue is a fundamental problem for them and always has been. They are also competing with paradise which cannot be a good thing for them. A smaller venue may suit them better but I don’t think that fits their global business model. Yet the reality is that it attracts more people than cream has in last three years in my experience. No idea what would replace hyte unless that’s where Solomun fits in?
