While I appreciate these are different circumstances, let's not forget that after the 2012 season Pacha decided to part company with weekly residencies by Tiesto, Erick Morillo, Pete Tong, Luciano and Defected! Let's remember how crazy everyone thought they were after that. They then gave some guy who had a Sankeys residency (called Solomun) the Sunday night slot. I suppose the bit we don't know is are they looking at turning it into more of a 1) Heart type offering i.e. entertainment, dinner, club, 2) take on Hi at their own game and up the production, bling, EDM DJs and even stronger VIP offering, or 3) keep the same balance of nights they have now (but with some new DJs). Maybe none of these, or a different option. Or maybe they don't even know yet :)
 
it all comes down to what the guy in charge thinks best for the club. owners/investors entrust the daily business to managers, guys like whittle (then), pissenem (hi) or juan arenas at privi. do you know who that is at pacha stivi and whether he has any track record on the island or at least in the club industry?
 
Not surprised either, the bottle neck of amnesia terrace is just annoying for elrow,dj box should never be at that end.
Great news first privilege if true.
Would this end the Carola to priv gossip or could both go there?
Kick in the balls for amnesia if either happens

Totally different animals. The club could certainly host both.

Carola in Ibiza is in decline from what I’ve seen. So if he may not be as wanted as he used to be by the competition. Equally now maybe a good time to jump and try and rejuvenate his brand.

Where are you getting this from? Obvious link to the vista days and amnesia doesn’t sound like it’s big enough for them but I’ve not had the elrow amnesia experience myself. Just intrigued why you’ve said this.
 
What is all the fuss about solomun? I haven't listened to one decent set from him, the after party vids dressed in black in 30 degree weather do him no favours with his huge stature as he slow claps shit drops surrounded by shit heads in the mountains at exclusive venues.
I just don't see his actual talent, bigger hype job then anthony joshua :rolleyes:
Feel free to prove me wrong but the guy is shite.
 
Elrow to Privlege was always going to be he rumour this summer, as it’s one of only a very small number of parties that could fill both rooms of that giant venue!

I went to Elrow closing this year and it wasn’t really my thing, but I do think that it fits well at Amnesia... but money talks in Ibiza, especially with parties like Elrow.
 
I don't know how they will fill IMS Dalt villa lineup 2018 but it will be hard to be back after this 2017 party
lineup unless having great Great House djs, please no Techno dj there :D
the 2016 edition was quiet poor as far as i am concerned and between IMS Dalt villa & Destino Opening, i wont make the mistake to go to Destino this time

same for Ushuaia opening that was better than previous ones even far from my definition of great music.....(less big names & more local djs :cool:)

only amnesia opening was huge :Hannah Wants, Claptone, Erick morillo (JackMaster missing hisp lane) & Marco Carola

groove odyssey boat parties :)

the 3 only reasons i may go for Ibiza opening or NOT :p saving more days for July/Closing (3weeks+ 3 weeks?)

Spoke to vip manager. They are only opening up the global room on the right as you come in, so it creates more space.

The president of APNEEF, who every year do a fundraising event at Pacha the second half of december, confirmed today on Cadena Ser radio that this winter the club is under renovations!
