*** ibiza 2018 observations ***

... also on the Pyramid note I know we are heading into peak season and some of their more interesting dates but from a commercial/numbers perspective can Cocoon leaving and the numbers that Pyramid are bringing in be considered a successful move? I only attended the opening party and for me, it was very quiet. Musically great but far quieter than any Cocoon I've ever attended throughout a season.

Still first year

Look at Resistance last year VS this year

I'd like to think they are testing the waters to see what works and what doesn't in looking for a longterm replacement, similar to what Pacha did with Insane in 2016. Or maybe it's a case of biding time until another brand becomes available? That said, I'm not sure they can say they've found the right fit yet.

If the longterm vision is to make a go of things with Pyramid, I'd be inclined to give it a bit more continuity and identity next time. Maybe have guest parties on rotation in the terrace, but install a weekly "host" in the club room?

Agree with a lot of this, but still the issue of going up against the ‘supermarket’ of names that appear at Circo Loco each week. I’d have thought their big hope for next season would be to get Solomun / Diynamic full-time (but would that be a Sunday or Monday). Suppose depends how much he’s still enjoying +1 (and if they are still getting the numbers they did).

On the Friday / Pacha point, is Labyrinth this season doing as well as Insane did 2013-2016? I personally miss some of those line-ups in comparison to HS82 every week. Ironically it’s HS82 playing the main 3-5 slot most weeks that puts me off the night.

But still the issue of going up against the ‘supermarket’ of names that appear at Circo Loco each week.

Makes you wonder if it would've made more sense having a shuffle around and sticking Gianluca Vacchi on Monday? Truth is there's no days without competition I suppose.

Plus giving their class residents like Meyer and HAAi a pitiful hour warm-up in the graveyard shift and wasting guests like Harvey.

I'm assuming Pyramid next Monday is going to be very quiet given that Circoloco lineup.

Depending on the set times we are undecided on whether to stay and do a full Circoloco session or to do the usual and leave around 2AM for Amnesia. I'm just concerned its going to be flat in there, which can be the case when Amnesia terrace is half empty.

Must just be me who would rather go Pyramid that date. Burridge, Bedouin and Gerd were the only names that stood out from Circoloco

ok so generally (this season so far) pyramid hasn't got in the same numbers as cocoon used to.
but fact is, pyramid has a cheaper cost for amnesia. and from what I hear, the economical result of this is OK so far.

Music at Heart factory was by billon, best music I heard..
Stayed until End 5h40..when feeling sleeping Good House Music wakes u up
I left Elrow, Dc10 2h00  When music is boring and body wreckd it can't fight against tireness:D

You got some glitter on that hat? I hear Glitterbox is packing them in. A few girlfriends went from work and were raving about it.

Sometimes people forget the commercial side often mean that lesser known DJ and medium sized crowd can often mean bigger profit than high paid DJ roster and a sell-out crowd

So as we are now almost in August, summer holidays have started and the World Cup is just a memory...have numbers picked up now?

Any reports from Resistance this week?

Vista room closed at 530, main room was busy. Production was off the scale, they do a great job. Musicially I found it better and I was more relaxed in Priv as there were spots to move around. There coulda been more ppl for Anna B2b Francesca Lombardo so that's why they closed it at 530

I'm not a Ritchie fan but he was playing well! And the production was well suited to him. He actually focused on creating a set. The b2b2b trio before him was decent too.

Here's me and Hito! She was actually dancing to Ellen Allien for a bit!
