*** ibiza 2018 observations ***

The pirate has just appeared on my fb news page having got photos with some mates @ dc10 randomly
Wait for July, it was just apetizers the short 4 days opening trip, New Pirate hat, New Green wayfarer Rayban  & more people willing to follow me, i just need people willing to rave until the end , not those that stay 2 hours in a club  & then back to sleep :D

I may try C guetta new party on sunday but , i'm not going to ibz to listen to some Rnb/Hip Hop  even if they play the authentic ones

That is a good article. Most of the cookie-cutter tech house shite that’s out there gives me earbola. Full of copycats churning out any old crap. Looks like all these tosspots use the same wardrobe too with their sleeveless black scoop-necks. How many of the same bloody shirts can you own.

Martinez Bros are different though. They play good tech house and mix it up. But Jamie Jones I agree with. I'm gonna give him one more chance at Destino Makers though

Just as I was only starting to get into it... thanks mixmag... so its back to B2B's for me now..

Thought you were still going through your minimal stage? ;)

What happened with minimal is happening to tech-house. In the end we all realised c.2008 (maybe before) that 95% of minimal was absolute utter rubbish.

Tech-house - so many variants of it following a similar BPM I don't believe you can judge it on few tunes

I think it is the best genre in my opinion and certainly the best music to dance to

I used to really really dislike Jamie Jones however the last 2 times I have seen him I was pleasantly surprised! Once was Music On last summer and the at Gashouder over ADE. Not seem him since though.

spot on Mr Why - those early villalobos productions were amazing. I still get goosebumps listening to sinner in me. That and stuff like michel cleiss la mezcla (and the army of imitators) were the last uniquely IBZ tunes I think I heard but we're going back a bit here.. Haven't noticed anything as original come out of IBZ since - so am interested if anyone is picking up on anything new?
