How did you meet your current partner?

in the most beautiful of surroundings 'the local party bar' ? closed now which is a shame.. but coming up to our ten year in April, been married over a year and bought a place together been in it for 5 years come December and seen the world together

honestly an effortless relationship, shes easy going as it gets and genuinely the sweetest of lasses! do absolutely everything together and in all fairness id be totally lost in life without her (soppy af) ?‍♂️

Wife fancied me but I had a long term girlfriend (at 17, 2 years was long term ?) we had the same circle of friends, lived in the same area and went to same primary school previously, probably saw each other every weekend amongst big circle of friends. Minute I split up from grilfirend she was in, quick as flash - that's my story.

17 years later, little lad, house and an Ibizan proposal we are happily married.
 
Mine was a tough one but worth it...her ex partner got a lonnng sentence in prison, longest at the time outside of Dublin for Persian rugs while she was pregnant with her first..He was sent down she had to move back to parents house pregnant and they knew nothing of his side projects.. had a healthy baby and done weekly visits to prison with the baby most times for about 2yrs.. we all knew each other pretty well and my best mate was getting married actually 19yrs ago next week I thought it was 20 as I put in another thread ? so I invited her as my +1, everyone said that's great,, she's had a tough time, was going through tough time too as she came from a big family and partner banged up for years made it worse. Ended up staying 3nts at the hotel where the wedding was on.Few people were pissed off saying stuff you don't take a man's women when he's locked up lol. It's wasn't like the sopranos ffs. she was after splitting up with him when he got locked up and he was 12 years older than her too so would be about 60 when released.and she brought the kid down on visits whenever he wanted to see his kid... Anyway great time at wedding,we always got on from being mates meeting at raves and partys he used never go out much being in the business and keeping head down,she was fckn Hot and we clicked ? Day after the wedding I got a call from the prison to come down next day on a Visit..We need to talk...

Ha ha .. No there was no hassle. Just told me all you think about in here all the time if you have a partner is What the fck she doing now, wrecking your head, they were broke up about a month before she realized she was pregnant and he got locked up before baby was born..so this was 18mnts after he got jail and no proplem visiting when kid was young she used to say we're going visit someone in work ha ha stopped the visits when she got around 2ys.. she was asking to many questions and they both decided no more and we were together about 6mnts by then..
 
I met mine aged 18 in September '92 about 2 days after starting Uni in Brighton. Was introduced by a school friend who was at the same place and did the same course as the now Mrs. Zap. We first got it on after the "fresher's ball" after sitting up all night chatting before I rolled out the immortal line of "are we gonna have a shag or what?" ... Of course I blew her tiny mind with my sexual prowess and she still can't leave me alone to this day ... Missed out the bit about a couple of break ups in the early years and we finally started the current stretch in late '95 and we got married in 2002.
 
She always lived here where live now and I was from The City 10k away but came out to the beach everyday during the summer. One summer I was probably 14-15 and there was a seaside t shirt print shop opened and I got about 10 Duck off t shirts that year because I fell i love with the girl working there but never asked her out as she was kinda cure head goth type.. found out around ten years ago it was my now partner of 19yrs was the girl working there..? and showed me pictures to prove it....

this needs an update ? (my original post is from 2012)

the ups & downs continued all through 2012 and just before the 2013 season started, we finally and definitely split up. it had been a big learning curve this relationship, but ultimately it had been a 'mission impossible' thing.

I then thought 'ok the ibiza season is here, after five years of relationship, let's just have a fun summer with no strings attached...' YEAH RIGHT. the first (and only) girl I kissed is now my wife!

we first saw each others at cocoon afterhours (what a surprise eh), but didn't actually meet then. through a friend who knew both of us we then met and the rest is history.

we got married at the end of the 2017 season (the wedding villa party went on for five days). haven't had any luck re kids just yet (and we're both 40 now too), but tbh right now, with the current climate, we're not unhappy about that.
