Interesting that some hotels (not naming names!) are now offering big discounts in August. Guess people aren’t prepared to pay £500+ for small rooms…
August prices this year must be an all time high. I appreciate places are trying to recoup money from the last two years but the average price must be about £350/400+ per night. Even Ryans was £250 a night!

Drops considerably in September, thankfully.

Any help on the following would be appreciated. Mate has booked us into Camelina Suites in San An - formerly Torrent Bay. It says it’s an hours walk into San An itself, how reliable are the taxis and water taxis? We are going end of September for a week. I think we will be struggling at that time of year and need something more central.

That is quite a trek. Doing it once early morning/after dark would still be a slog and after you've done it the once, you wouldn't want to do it again. I think an hour is being optimistic. Used to take me the best part of 50 minutes to get back to Amàre

Taxi situation will be alleviated by that time of year, but you may want to consider something more central

Was in Mare Nostrum for 10 days : Central , clean , breakfast ok ( simple , but ok ) , parking ok , not so loud in the night

Good enough for the most customers without family

Has anyone stopped in the renovated TRS by Calio Gracio? Booked in for September and wondering what it's like, especially the food as all-inclusive

I've only been up the rooftop. Security like Fort Knox. Definitely no riff-raff getting let in. Liked what I saw though

We loved the sol Bahia in the bay, it’s run by a father and his two daughters. They are very friendly and it’s run well. Good food and drinks that are reasonably priced and the rooms (as far as I know) all have kitchenettes in. We had a sea view room and the view from the balcony was amazing.

Edit - good location as well and excellent coffee

Thanks for the reply. I’ll keep on at him to reconsider.

Stopped there in May and loved it. Small, friendly, reasonable prices and ❤ the view from the pool

Good to know as Kitchenettes are a good money saver in these times, plus you can't beat a proper sized fridge for the balcony booze

Bartolo is a great feller. stayed a good few times BITD . Once, I wasnt even staying there at the time, but ended up there after the Garlands boat on my own, without my flip flops (I dont know either) and after a few at the bar he lent me a pair so I could get back to my hotel !
