it opens on march 1st.....

as you might remember, they have already announced the opening date for 2007 so the continuation as km5 is guaranteed for at least one more season. apparently they are asking 3.500.000€ for it.....

:arrow: today diario de ibiza reports that the san josé police is satisfied with the results of the increase of controls in playa den bossa last summer. as you might remember, last august due to the continuous complains about insecurity in the area by the neighbours they started doing more controls than usual. this year they plan to continue with them but starting in may :!:

apart from the drug-related fines (5 times more than in 2005), the number denounces to bars in the municipio of san josé for making too much noise increased too (110, almost 30 more than in 2005). 7 of these venues got the music sealed with 3 of them breaking it without authorization which meant another 3 denounces, this time in the court:
- dc10: still waiting for the judgement for an infraction last summer and another one on january 1st this year.
- cova santa: the judgement against amnesia's restaurant happened already but they are still waiting for the result.
- bar budán* in port des torrent: the judge fined them with only 180€ but if they break the sealing again its owner could face a 2 year prison sentence.

Arh that's why we couldn't book it on here and it suddenly disappeared off spotlight's hotels!

Although the bye-laws haven't been passed for all the municipalities on the island, as far as I know the intention is still to stop the 24-hour clubbing culture. "Informed sources" tell me that they expect Space and DC10 to open at 6pm and abandon daytime opening.
 
Id be shocked if they did that, obviously part of the attraction of those clubs is the daytime aspect, and although they might have to open at midday, they would retain part of this appeal IMO . If they opened at 6pm I think a lot of this attraction would disappear and therefore less business.

Hopefully they wont!

bar athena

we went to spooky bar athena about 2 years ago , somewhere different for the kids to go ! we went for tea and stayed 20 mins my little boy jamie (6 years old ) was screaming i honestly thourght he'd seen a ghost !The british couple who owned it said they'd made all the trolls etc. as a hobby i guess they've been sectioned .....hence the sale !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have to say - that looks funkin quality. Wish I had the cash to buy the place form whoever currently owns it. You could do so much (spooky stuff obvioulsy - to keep Mr Mc C happy) with it. Who'd like to join me in a Ibiza venture ?? (I'm only half joking BTW, that place has real potential)

Been there once - never again!

Horrid place - needs to pulled down.
