Getting to/from Ibiza latest info

Im flying out 13th of August via Amsterdam.

As it looks my region is "Green" (Stockholm) so no tests or anything needed (unless changed). But will probably take the antigen test just in case.

update: I had to call the govrnment covid19 travel hotline, spoke to an advisor, told him of my situation, who told me Ibiza is on the green watch list, not the green list (!) I corrected him and told him to go and check again, and he apologised.

I also told him that I won't be quarantining and he said that is fine 😂

Well done. I didn't know there was a Covid 19 travel hotline! The only contact I could find was an email address for Test and Trace, and their response to my question was utterly useless - and arrived after I had departed.

It is certainly at odds with the government update expected next week, that suggests even amber list countries will be OK for those double jabbed etc. Seems a bit of scaremongering. Of course would affect those not double jabbed

What's got to be taken into consideration id if Ibiza turns amber, then it's only a few weeks from red meaning if you have a holiday there and it turns red, it's hotel quarantine on return, and I think that's for the fully jabbed too.

over the course of the last few days I have been deleting various posts.

guys, please, you all remember we had paused the forums a while back, so here are a few reminders:

- do not spam the ibiza gossip thread with anything that is NOT ibiza related
- do not spam the travel info thread with anything that is NOT travel related
- we do not want any further covid discussions on the forums anywhere. we will be updating important info if incidences go up etc or if restrictions change. we genuinely don't want any more covid chat which then turns sour at some point, we are past this.

thank you.

all of this might change with boris' upcoming announcement later today though, innit?

We were going to come over at Amber anyway but the risk of Ibiza going on the red list means we have changed our minds

From a travel stand point I highly highly doubt it will turn red. Amber is a pain but doesn't stop me from travelling....that cold beer at the Jockey is calling my name.

Not sure I understand why it would move to amber, when the situation in the UK is infinitely worse. Surely we are more of a risk to them, than they are to us?

In any event there’s nothing new in that Evening Standard article, just someone speculating based on case numbers in Menorca, which happened because the Islands didn’t require testing, which they now do.

not to mention it sounds like UKGOV are sacking off almost all restrictions today, so this doesn’t seem in keeping with that theme.

With the amount of brits on the Balearic Islands now or in transit, it would be difficult to see how the government could create the capacity for red list hotel quarantine. That plus the situation in the UK and the tone of the government messaging in the last week or so suggests amber is perhaps as far as they could push it.

Didn't even get the 'government sources have indicated' in the article. Feels like they've pulled lots of pieces together and couple it with the rise in young covid cases in the area.

Not saying it won't happen but that article doesn't mean much at the minute

Looks like the UK is dropping all covid restrictions and fully vaccinated travelers will not have to quarantine when returning from green or amber countries.

Easyjet have updated their website guidelines to clarify antigen tests are no longer accepted on the way out.

I've just travelled through 4 airports. I'd like to give credit to the staff at Ibiza airport for managing the rather difficult and constantly changing situation rather efficiently. I didn't experience any insanely long queues, and passengers are able to get through without too much hassle. If you ask a member of the staff something, they generally know the rules and give you the right answer. Actually, the entire tourist industry on Ibiza seems to run smoothly and efficiently.

This in stark contrast to Oslo airport where there is utter chaos with lots of people not making it through on time for their flights.

Just booked my test through Salutlabs for tomorrow morning. Bit out in the Santa Agnes sticks here, so I hope later tomorrow I can provide a positive update

Not only do you give the address details at point of booking, but they send you an SMS to reconfirm the location through GPRS

Btw, one of instructions is: make sure you are sober at the time of the test!!

My flight to Spain from Miami is tonight at 9:30, Hurricane Elsa tried to ruin it but it looks like it’s going to Miss southeast Florida. Flying Miami to Madrid then Madrid to Ibiza. Got my QR codes ready and vaccine card. Hopefully it goes smooth
Good luck, let us know how it goes
