General annoyances

Im agreeing with Ollie on this mate. It might be different the other side of the Pond but in the Queens English it were imo.

A Team is made up from more than 1 person as is a nation and a class so they get a plural

I agree with Oli - not that i actualy know the answer i was educated in the worst school in the UK at the time and our lessons consisted of making bings, fighting, terrorising teachers and being general C***S.

I just want John to be wrong :D:D:D:D:D

People who use "they" instead of "their" .

"They self" - OH **** OFF YOU INCORRECT BASTARD
Ooh... that's another modern bastardization of the language that drives me nuts.

The unnecessary and incorrect use of reflexive pronouns.

"I would like to speak with yourself about..."
"Myself would be interested in..."

The middle lane hoggers... why!
It's an over taking lane. Stay on the left hand side, then overtake when you get to a lorry, etc! ;)

M People, old people and people with kids leisurely shopping whilst I am on my lunch (sure someone else posted this too......grrrrr) foreign callcentres, not being the first in the queue at airport (I know everyone gets there at the same time but I hate people sneaking in front of me) falling asleep 10 minutes before the end of a programme I have been looking forward to but also seeing the results of a game reality show etc on FB before I get to see it myself, rude people, grumpy people, being told I am too old to do something, people who are so concerned how they look that standing around looking pretty with nose in the air not enjoying themselves, being let down, going to the toilet and THEN realising there is no toilet roll

theres no point staying in the slow lane alot of the time because you just catch up with lorries all the time and its more dangerous to be continually changing lanes so i sit in the middle sometimes. if theres a good stretch of reasonably moving traffic in the slow lane then i'll get in it

it isn't much fun driving on uk motorways though - too many restrictions

french autopistes are much better - faster, I was going at average 90mph last summer, prettier landscapes too and better service stations serving nicer food, also some quality radio stations in the paris area like NOVA

French motorways = 2 lanes that are wider and smother than ours.
Got my 1986 mk2 golf up to 107.5mph going down a big hill on the way to the french alps!

If your actually overtaking, or have multiple lorries coming up, stay in the middle lane.

If theres a nothing on the left hand lane to be overtaken, shift over.

i agree but those circumstances dont happen to me very often! I would rather be safer and piss off a few drivers than darting around the lanes. If people are concerned about being slowed down then get in the fast lane

Then outside lane gets jammed with drivers trying to pass middle laners when there's nothing in the inside lane

Someone remind me what page of the highway code refers to said, slow, middle and fast lanes?

More that one lane, the others are for overtaking.

Overtake, and get back into the lefy one.

Lazy twunts.

high horses. off. now

when you see a lorry in the distance which you'll catch up with before you know it, you stay in the middle lane

it's what everybody does.

there's rules and then there's just basic common sense

This thread is becoming a general annoyance.

I don't drive and can't engage with this furore about middle lanes.

I can kick off about supermarket trolly etiquette though.
