Any idea when Gatecrasher full line ups to be revealed? They said it would be announced last Friday.

Mondays would of been good as there's asot and cream at the end of the week but no trance at the beginning of the week as of yet. And yeah would of been good to have it same day as driftwood, But as toolroom looks to be Mondays then it will be interesting to see where gc plan to put their trance night?
 
Just hope trance isnt weekend since I am not there. Already missing Driftwood cause of my flight in from tomorrowland. Would love the harder trance artists outside of ASOT and Cream
 
GC announced that they would give us live ups last Friday and still nothing.

Carl Cox tickets bought and now waiting for them to release either GC or Cream line ups in the hope of a proper trance night...

Hurry up guys. Don't promise things then leave us hanging...
 
we will soon let everyone know about GC plans but if there haven't been any last min changes i'm not aware of yet, there won't be a lot of trance (if any).

still a bit early for cream line ups i think.
 
Gatecrasher without trance is a pointless affair.

I know the club scene has changed but there is still a generation of people out there looking for a proper trance night other than ASOT.

Too many relevant Dj,s looking for a platform to showcase their stuff.
 
The word soon appears to be one on everybody,s lips. Overused and overcomplicated. Just give us a date and stick to it.

Is GC still a trance 'brand' though? Not that i would dream of going to a GC event in a million years but i thought that they were booking a variety of different musical styles currently, and have been for a number of years?

You're right, it's not been for years. It's a shame, as they used to be known for Trance.
I think that's what people are hoping, that we'll see nights like the Paul Oakenfold \ Markus Schulz night in Birmingham that is coming up in May. That's what I'm hoping.
 
Of course I would still expect different styles on some nights as mentioned the scene has changed.

But the fact remains that GC was made famous by the trance days and there is still a market for it.

I myself love the GC brand as it was and good luck to them rebranding and exploring new options but a GC club without a proper Trance night will be pointless..
 
Yes a night of those sort of people would be great

I have always loved Oakenfold but having watched some of his sets in recents times he seems to have completely lost it.

i cant pretend that I have a great deal of knowledge of the trance scene currently (been there and done that a lot of years ago!), but is there still a huge market for it in Ibiza? Obviously cream is packed to the rafters every week, but i would argue that the main pull of cream now (aside from the brand itself) will be the Calvin Harris. Deadmau5 bookings over the likes of PVD. I'm sure that AVB did well last summer but does his move to a smaller capacity venue maybe back up my view that the thirst for trance on the island isn't as strong as some believe?

Wasnt there a night in either Eden or Es Paradis last year that got all the trance heads excited and then flopped on its arse?

From the GC point of view - Angello has been mentioned for a night there. What is going to attract the San An hordes more, Angello or a pure trance night with say Oakie or Shultz (and thats not a dig at either of those DJ's). I know what i would be doing from a promoters point of view....
 
Can i throw a name into the mix? (purely as guesswork with no "inside" knowledge (cos i never have any))

does Pete Tong have a night yet?
