Was in the West End last week and I saw a gang of English lads (in typical matching shirts should they forget their own names) and one of them had "Rape Time" on the back. Another one was shouting "WE ARE IN F*****G IBIZA" into the ear of one of the flower sellers. This runied it for us. We had watched a cool sunset with good food and I thought that San An looked better than it had done for years.

So glad we stayed in Ibiza town. How long can this carry on for? It makes me feel sick to be aligned with a group of people who come from a very low DNA dispersal group.

San An is a dump. I'm inclined never to go again. Shame.

A bit of a generalisation and contradictory especially when you originally says that "San An looked better than it had done for years" me thinks based on one event in the west end, unfortunately its just like any city centre night out, having said that ive never seen anything untoward in san An west end in the 12 years ive been visiting the island so i guess you must be unlucky

Everytime I've been to the West end or walked through, or past it,I've witnessed something similar and it does make your heart drop and your pulse quicken.

The West End and San Ann on a wider scale do offer completely different experiences, don't let what you saw put you offer the San Ann area. Just do what I do, avoid the West End.

I knw some people are fans of the West End and get quite defensive because it's their cup of tea, which is fair enough, but that area does attract the type of crowd you witnessed moreso than in other areas in Ibiza.

:lol: I can see where you're coming from but the drug addled 'untermensch' (sic) at DC-10 are much more well wishing and communal than a random bunch of aggressive, misogynistic & impolite San An beer monsters shouting obscenities and looking for fights.

From where I'm standing they're worlds apart. ;)

Because I quite like the way you routed around for the most complicated word possible to explain something very simple.
 
I found the West End not any different from some of the party islands, Malia, Magaluf etc and it wasnt the nicest of places I have to say. You generally do seem to get big mobs of people here but not all of them want to cause trouble.

Saying that we did have a run in with some lairy scousers and we gave them what for (some cheeky eff offs did the trick) but then like I said you do get the people that are still only out for a good time.

I think its just all the drink that is on offer and it is quite young. Everyone is just basically bladdered.
 
From an over simplfied perspective, one is far less likely to get the living daylights kicked out of one mingling with the drug addled untermensch at dc10, than if one accidentally bumped into the beer boy louts.

As for the deeper issues related to the drug culture, that could be solved worldwide with little effort.

oddly enough it was the first word which sprang to mind so i had neither to route nor root for it.

While I feel I can boast a relatively large and diverse vocabulary, I will admit I was at a loss as to the definition of this term "untermensch".

A quick Google "define" search turned up only the following description: [Under] Nazi racial ideology... groups regarded as Untermenschen included Jews, Gypsies, Slavic peoples, Altaic peoples and Africans.

Is this how you would characterize the people at DC10? :?
(obviously not ethnically, but with a similar level of contempt)

I was at a loss as to the meaning of this word, as you suggest it's implications are quite worrying for those of you who frequent dc10 ;)
 
i merely turned our original poster's contempt of people who he believed to be beyond contempt around. i go to the west end, i was there on saturday, and i'm not crying that i've been worryingly lumped in with a group of people who aren't exactly like myself.

Fair point stephen.

Perhaps on sober reflection the thugs with the "Rape Time" t-shirts might feel totally disgusted that they should be thought of as drug users when returning home to England.
