Favorite childhood movies?

LOL Sorry Mark, I should have clarified there, I mentioned earlier in the post how that was the first movie I remember crying to. I remember being so deeply sad in my heart and I guess I cried for like 10 minutes and was hugging my mom to death lol.

I have never heard of Dot and the Kangaroo but I had three older siblings so I didn't get the opportunity to be exposed to actual children movies when I was that age...HOWEVER, E.T. did scar me for life. When he got sick and he looked all chalky OH MY LORD...I can't even explain my sadness... :(

As for that line from the Princess Bride, I quoted it on page one of this thread and have now been copied 4 times 8O

Here it goes in Spanish, remember Iñigo is Spansih: Hola, soy Íñigo de Montoya, tú mataste a mi padre, prepárate a morir

i couldn't sleep last night and i remembered this post and kept thinking of all these old films! i forgot 'stand by me' i used to love that film i watched it so many times i knew all the words!

Tom Cruise is some warrior like guy his girlfriend is manipulated into touching the unicorns which aren't supposed to be touched so they can be trapped and their horns taken or something (I think that is what kills them?)So she disturbs the order and Tom, a fairy, and other mythical creatures go to destroy what looks like Satan or a devil figure to get the horn back...blah blah blah...they get the horn back and ordered is restored to the fairy kingdom. I like it...Tim Curry is awesome (He plays the devil...)

The first one is a classic.

The sequel, which came out much later when I was in university, is possibly one of the worst movies I have ever seen. My roommate and I were huge Highlander fans and rushed to see II on opening night. Big mistake

I don't remember the second one.

I also liked Children of Corn and The shine. We used to watch it at nights in summer holidays and then when we had to go back home it was all scary and silly cos there were nobody in the streets in a very rural village wich main business was actually corn

I'm too lazy to read all the posts but has anyone mentioned "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" yet??? One of the first non-cartoon movies I got to see :D

Yes, Beckiboo mentioned it on Page 3. Classic flick!! Maximum dosage of 80's cheese... "Like, gag me with a spoon!"

Nice. I saw some of my other fav's on here.....Dot and the Kangaroo (or whatever it's called) sounded a bit familiar, but I LOVED and still love the Goonies! and of course Never Ending Story....Jonathan Brandis was my childhood crush.....the Ladybugs was also a good one, though I think that might be a bit too old to be called a Childhood movie

Wasn't Jonathan Brandis in the Neverending Story II? I used to love him as well when I was young.

Yes he was, the little angel. I wonder what all the characters in the original NES look like today? Especially Atrayu, he was a beautiful little boy, sorta androgynous tho

"I caaahnt get beyond the boundaries of Fantaayseeeaaaah!!!!" HAHA
