With the exchange rate being so poor here (1.15) I was wondering what it is on the island? Potentially going to exchange my money out there this year.

If time, apply for a Halifax Clarity card. No fees when you withdraw money or spend on it, so you get the actual exchange rate.

It's worse out here. Most places I have seen it's around 1.13

Highly recommend the Revolut app and card. Great app, brilliantly designed so it's very user friendly and also offers better rates than many other operators. Currently over 1.17.

I use fairfx card. Rate usually just below banking rate n always above tourist rate

Yep, probably going to budget an extra £200 on top of my usual spend. As you say though, good times generally cost plenty cash.

certainly I felt I had a lot less "burn" money.

In 2013 the rate was about 1.12 so not as bad as it has been in recent years
