Erick Morillo

I had no idea you guys all worked for the Miami PD, FBI or department of justice ?
It was widely reported he denied having sex with her but his DNA proved he did. It was widely reported she said she wasn't conscious and didn't consent.

Do you think that's untrue? Would you need to see signed statements from both to believe it? What do you think the balance of probability is?

I worked in an area where I was able to read multiple of these kind of cases..there's always two sides of the story and by that I dont mean that rape can be justified, but it's a question of how you define rape.
Most of you know how things are played in the dj booth and backstage....afterparties.
Drugs and alcohol can totally diffuse things like consent or consciousness.

So while someone can take advantage of his position as a player or womanizer, to me that does not make him guilty yet. A suicide is no confession either. However harsh this may sound...even the DNA holds no proof of rape.

His side of the story was they didn't have sex. Ergo, he didn't claim to have got consent.

It's been proved his semen was inside her. She says she was unconscious and didn't consent.

my take is this...

*IF* it turns out that it was suicide...(unconfirmed still, but lots of people think it was) then:

when he had done ket rehab he went public afterwards, he wanted to come fully clean. now, if he had wanted to come clean with the rape story, I truly think he'd been there for the trial and uphold his end of the story.

if it's suicide then I personally truly think the case is pretty clear.

shame it ended that way, also because the other person will never see justice, whichever way it would have gone
