No Drew sounds like one of those bosses who keeps to his side of your employment contract but gets frustrated that don't want to honour your side of the bargain.
Contracts usually say in black and white that people must give at least four weeks notice of holidays and being allowed to go at the time requested is at the management's discretion.
If it's fair for you to argue against that is it fair if you don't get paid your contracted wage?

I wasn't suggesting either of what Becki suggested, i was simply pointing out the difficulties we have to face with holidays![]()
And for her info we've been in business 27 years and never been to a single tribunal.
Like i said, we've got 40'odd year old staff that have been with us since leaving school so we can't be all that bad.
